Some guilds keep a black list. They'll post it in their guild website somewhere, usually not in the public area, and keep a running total of people that their guildies should not group with.

That will take a while to spread, though. Someone who has one jerky character might never notice the effects. However, if you have enough characters and your legacy name starts showing up on the list multiple times, people might notice.

Also, if you're in a guild, someone can go to your GL and tell them that you're being a jerk. By agreeing to join a group like a guild, your behavior reflects on everyone in that group, and sometimes that group doesn't care for the reputation you're getting.

Add a new loot rules option called "Auto Class".
Ex. if there is only one agent in the group and cunning gear drops, he auto gets it.
If there are 2 or more, it is auto rolled and the winner auto gets it.

Players should have a game controlled option. That way you never have to put your trust in someone else to do the right thing.

I CAN pee in the sink, but it does not mean I SHOULD pee in the sink.

I can actually sympathize if people don't understand the concept of class-specific items, especially in the first flashpoints.

Awesome analogy, haha. And so true.

What's it like having absolutely zero social graces, discretion, or courtesy? I bet it's cold all the time, and everything sounds like children crying from a distance.

Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

if i can swap out mods on something to give it stats my marauder can use, then i'll roll for it and do so. there is no "right thing," it's a gosh darn video game. you do whatever you feel like. in fact, next time someone complains, i'm going to say i'm just roleplaying my sith, so i'm being evil by taking everything.

Well, it's a nice idea but that would suck if the IA already has the same item and another player can use it for a companion (or the mods). I'm more in favor of actual communication to lay down the rules.

Actually, his analogy is rather poor. It's not so black and white with items in game, especially with orange items.

It's a very real probability when you're grouping with people not in your guild.

Just expect it, because it happens A LOT.

Just laugh it off by laughing at them.

Actually that's how the option is designed, if you can need, you're allowed and it's not wrong. You might feel it's wrong based on the moral path you follow, but they may not. Just because someone doesn't follow your moral compass for rolling on items in a game they are automatically social outcasts?
