This game badly needs mods and macros.

Dont assume, read. If you bothered to read or had the remote ability to actually form an argument based on facts, context or detail you wouldnt need to do what you do.

Again, topic has and always will be people who dont use mods or know what a mod is on one side, and those that do use them on the other.

One side wants the option to expand on the limits of the game. The other demands people play the way they want them to play because they dont like or use something.

Trying to incorrectly use a dozen periods in your sentence to try to highlight your words does not make it so.

You use addons for convenience. Convenience is another word for "the act of making something easier".

Unless you are living in a world where 2+2 != 4, the very premise of addons is to make the game easier. Either addons make it easier by reducing the amount of concentration you need to invest (IE: telling when there is about to be fire that needs to be dodged) or by making it easier by rearranging data in an easier to read format (IE: rearranging your UI so that it's more friendly) - the very premise of an addon is to "make the game easier for you."

Very few people would ever install an addon or mod that would make the game more difficult.
I had this whole long post written out, but I realized it isn't worth it. If you want to be irrational and think that having addons/macros/damage meters ruin the game rather then enhance it, then please feel free to do so.

Also, please feel free to remove your gas gauge from your car, your temperature gauge from your oven, and the calculator you use to do bills with. All are unnecessary and make the act of driving/cooking/paying bills "easy mode"

Overly simplistic breakdown. I don't fit into either category, and most of the posters here wouldn't fit into the second.

the majority are just of the opinion that Mods are a luxury, not a necessity, and that BioWare can spend their time adding features the majority of players would utilize before adding things that are use by a more select group.

The only item you listed that is 'unnecessary' is the calculator as you can do the math by hand. The other two items you listed are not luxuries, they are mandatory. You need to know how much gas you have in your car and you need to know how hot an oven is. You don't need to use a calculator to do math.

Or... perhaps... wants them to play the way the Game Designers intended them to!

The differences between a mod, a hack, and a cheat can be very thin and slippery at times. The "Healer Highlighting/auto-target" Addon in WoW was made solely using commands and features in the API so it must have been "legal" right? Loud sound alerts and Giant Text plastered across your screen screaming at you to get out of Fire is a pretty noticeable difference from you know, actually seeing the Fire and moving.

they thing you saying to remove are stanrd with the items you point out. they came with it(like teh game came as is) to be more correct it should be" you know the extra spoilers, that pimped out rims and that dash board gps, remove them"

the spoilers and rims are cosmedic add-ons, and the gps a DBM or dps meter, something tell you stuff.

just how i see things thought.

Congrats! You are like 0.00005% of the playerbase.

Most are still sub-35 on their first character.

Not true.

You can look up how much gas your gas tank holds, how many miles to the gallon you get highway/city, and calculate how many miles you drove under what conditions to figure out how much gas you have left.

I haven't had a working gas gauge for 8 years, please don't tell me I need one to get back and forth to work everyday when I've been doing it just fine for the better part of a decade.

You can also eyeball your meal to see if it looks cooked or not, check the middle to see if it is warm, and basically bake/cook/boil it till you think its done, and if it isnt, put it back in till it is.

You could always estimate speed.
You could estimate how much fuel you have based on how much you put in and how far you traveled or for how long.
You could tell how hot the oven is by the time it's been warming up for.

This is no different than the mentality of some who are against things like damage meters...how often is the argument "just time how long it takes and divide the health by that time for your DPS!" brought up as some sort of half-assed debasement?

People need to stop being prohibitive. If you don't like it, don't use it.
I am prepared to meet my Maker.
Whether my Maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter.

Given the fact that we can't seem to freely decide how many bottom quickslots we can add, macros are badly needed.

Please, don't take this request as "we need /castsequence and programmatical macros like vanilla WoW", I simply need something that would allow me to hold down the modifier key of my choice (Team Alt! GO TEAM!) and see the skill icon on my skill bars update.

Ceiling Cat compels you!
