Question on the Operations lockouts

So my guild recently started doing operations. We've only done 1 presently and are getting ready for more. However since our first night of ops, we've had a few more people hit 50 and prepping for ops as well. Now I imagine the lockouts mean that once we beat a boss we can't fight it again, but in a fit of hopeful optimism if say 8 of us cleared it again, and say 4 of the other 50's still need it, if they started the ops group and the phase into Eternity Vault, could some of us who have cleared it help fight the bosses even though I imagine we wouldn't get any gear drops. Or are a handful of us screwed until we have the right party setup for an 8/16 man raid for everyone to get a chance to do it?

No - each player is locked out until their timer is up. You will have different instance ID's. If you were at 4/5 and went back the next day, you could have a new person join for the 5th fight that wasn't on the previous 4 (or in another raid that week)

You cannot go back to help others when you are locked out.
