Im sure that this is a repost, so i apologize. Ive searched high and low cant seem to find the specific details that im looking for.

Im just curious about minimum gear and stat requirements, if there are any, to begin raiding in swtor. Also, the requirements for HM and NM as well.

Any information on this would be helpful, thanks alot.

I found that as a fresh 50, with pretty much quest and a few pieces of gear from easy HMs like BT, I could easily get through normal EV.

To be honest, I think a lot of the fights in normal mode EV are easier than some of the tougher HM FPs.

When I dinged 50, I was in normal mode EV 45 minutes later, and my raid group cleared the entire place, only dying to Soa once.

There are no actual requirements, but that's just my experience.

The poster above is right. There are no real requirements except a functioning brain. Wont even need two of those. Until you get into nightmare modes anyway.

This is correct. Anybody can come and do normal mode EV.

For normal modes I think you're all set as long as your EQ is mostly up to date (not 40 greens).

Run the dailys in Ilum and Belsavis once and buy some purple mods with the commendations if you're worried - that should set you up pretty nicely to get started.

PvP gear is also very viable for raiding, even just a few pieces (which you can get in about a week or less) will boost your viability.

For HMs I'd recommend you were wearing mostly purple loot in one form or another. Though even then some of the fights are a breeze either way. Also your class is going to play a part in it, if you're a tank you need to be better geared than most of the other people to do your job properly.

So people are actually saying there is no gear requirements for EV. I would love to have a group of fresh 50's clear the operation, then you can say that safely. If you have some purple gear from belsavis and illum, im sure it will make the world of a difference. However fresh 50 with orange gear + blue mods and possible a green here and there for implants and maybe a belt, will get shredded.

Soa's final stage and Bonethrasher spring to mind - you need semi decent gear to dps them down before enrage in both.
