It's not the forums that ruin games, it's people like you.
???

You would rather ride something from which you can be unmounted when travelling back to hubs which would still be slower than the taxi even with a 190% speed boost.

Each to their own I suppose, but intentionally gimping yourself by moving slowly over ground which you have already covered doesnt make a lot of sense to me.

There are LOTS of taxi's spread all over the map. Add to that the QT-checkpoints and the speeder.
People are just way to impatient. Enjoy the world and it's vastness.

When I was questing on Alderaan, which is a HUGE planet btw taking into account the bonusareas, I looked around while flying on a taxi and realised how amazing the landscape is. THIS is what makes it feel so cool and gives the perception of being a small humanoid.

If we just blaze past the enviroment, looking down on the ground for the next mob to kill, then what point is there to enjoy the surroundings?
Then people would only complain 'OMG BW, levling is too fast! GAMEIZNOFUN!'

Don't wanna compare to WoW too much, but all of you who remember when you had to run untill you hit 40 and then you got your first 'slowmount'.
And the flying mounts are cool, in a aesthetic way. But that's what killed alot of the things being outside the majorcities in WoW.
Just relax and enjoy the ride.

If there's something I want added, it's the name of the speeder/mount on the icon on other players so you can see what the mount is called.
That, and beastmounts.

Beast mounts may sound fun but for the fleet janitors it is hell!

I'm fine with the way things are honestly. I would like more variation in taxi mounts. It made my day to fly on the better of the manta style taxis on Alderaan. I'd like to ride a Taun Taun on Hoth, that kind of thing.

Totally agree with this. Places like alderan and balmora have great landscapes to see, and it really pleased me that the taxis werent all speeder bikes, and those two planets in particular had wingged bat things and sky hoppers to fly us around.

I, personally, think that this may be too slow. This is now constructive feedback for SW:TOR.

The average human runs at approximately 15 MPH. This is my reasoning for my previous feedback which is relevant to SW:TOR.

All information previously posted is not intended to be inflammatory and is relevant to my interests as a SW:TOR subscriber and player.
Is this the same post again?

They have to plan with expansions in mind, so lets say they want level 100 to be the total level cap they will want to give those players speeder that go as fast as the game can handle. With lag etc there is a max speed they can give, which lets say is 300% of walking speed, they then have to plan backwards. If they gave you 300% increase now then when they raise the level cap there will be no incentive to get a shiny new speeder.

They want to you get the shiny level 60 speeder because they need credit sinks in game.

Also if the speeder is too fast you will fly past things without a chance of being knocked off, and you will miss a lot of the game world which has been designed around speeder speeds. The planets get larger as your speeder gets faster, if they increased speeder speed they would just increase planet size.

It sounds nice wanting to go faster, but it just doesn't work.

It's not about ease of travel. You said it yourself. There are many ways to travel across the map quickly already.

1. It's the sillyness of going under 30 MPH on a speeder.

2. Would you not be able to enjoy the scenery more by moving from location to location on your own? I just alt+tab when I take a taxi to be honest.

No one is asking for incredibly fast mounts. Just something that makes a little more sense.

What do expansions have to do with travel speed? What is the point of gradually increasing the speed cap?

NO ONE IS ASKING FOR 300% INCREASE.
