Their knockdown is a joke, it's a 3 second stun that maxes out resolve in one hit, meanwhile any other 4sec stun in the game does 2/3 at most, is ranged and/or can be applied outside of stealth. Yes, our stun is attached to an ability that already does stuff, but a. it's a talent, b. it's only 3 seconds, c. it can be trinketed and then you're immune to stuns for 20 seconds.

i gotta agree with both sides here, this reduction in the damage will hurt quit a number of OP's/ Scoundrels damage overall because they rely heavily on that one skill for an opener, but at the same time i have been on the receiving end of it and it sucks. im a lvl 50 infiltration spec shadow with 10%+ expertise and am lvl 50 valor, and after many hours and many matches against said classes, i have learned to pretty much 1v1 any other class out there that is on equal footing gear wise with myself, but still find it damn near impossible to even get their health below 75% before im dead because of their ability to openly destroy you in the first few seconds of combat and just stun you run kite you a little and you dead

now its not all the time but i have run in to my fair share of them who have come out of stealth and destroyed me before i could even say in TS oh snap operative need help. there have been a few who on their opening assualt were unsuccesful because i was able to stun/ force run or Knock them back but its always the same dog and pony show, destealth and do it again. which im not going to bash because i use the same tactic all the time for Kick, and shadows respite.

but really the only thing i can say is learn to play your class effectively with these changes, you will have to learn to play with a myriad of skills at your disposal to out wit and think your opponent and use the right skills at the right time, instead of stabbity stab stab i win.

most people think shadows are gimp and wont complain about them for sheet, but from experience when used correctly i can destroy people faster than an operative, unless it a tank specced class, for some reason i feel like a wet noddle slapping a piece of steel LOL

How do so many people think that the developers took the forum whines and not a massive glut of data on the output of said skill as the basis for the change?

wait wait... You're getting kited and losing to a Operative? i'm sorry but i can't take you seriously now. was their basic ranged shot just too much to overcome? Do you not have a burst speed and a 30m snare? If anything you should be kiting them, hitting them with project and telekinetic throw as they struggle to get within 4m.

Those 7-8k crits that were mentioned came from a video. If you look at the buffs the guy had, you will see that those dont happen often in most regular gameplay

They didn't cater to anyone. This was the result of their metrics, not the complaints. No class is supposed to be able to 3 shot like that, so they took that away, pure and simple.
Standards are made to be broken.
- Crie - 50 Sniper - Engineer spec -
- Kuari - 35 Assassin - Tank spec -

or... just nerf expertise, OMG *** BUT EXPERTISE IS IMPO... no it's not, all it does is separate level 50 pvp players from pve players in a game that doesn't even have stabilized playerbase yet, which is utterly moronic.
