That doesn't mean you level faster. Spamming LFG for 20 minutes isn't exactly time-efficient.
Which is why you don't just stand still and do it.

Simple: I don't use the social vendors.

I don't do PUGs, period.

I've also skipped 90%+ of the Heroics after Level 20, simply because there wasn't enough of my guildies around in order to do them when I was ready to.

and it's just easier to level solo most of the time.

I just hit level 50 yesterday, and I'm not even Social Rank 2.

Yes but its not that much, my toon levelling with my wife, doing the same number of quests is less than a level behind and thats probably because I did all the Heroic 2's and most of the 4's while playing together and not all on my other toon.

Mind you, I do notice far more Prototype and Artifact level drops when playing together, might be just dumb luck though.

Now when I reach 50, that's when I'll be doing all my grouping.
Whole point of levelling in any MMO is so you can team up for TOUGH missions, the general stance of any MMO is to group up, otherwise you may as well play soemthing like Skyrim.
Well done Patch 1.2, lots of additions that i was looking for.

i'm just approaching social 5. my guild is constantly doing operations and flashpoints, though i haven't participated because i'm not level 50 yet. a buddy and myself decided to level bounty hunters together, and it has been fun!

sounds like you need a better guild.

Bah Social Points in this game suck. What do vanity items and partying have to do with each other anyway?

Social points/levels is another dev inspired piece of garbage mechanic. This mechanic along with the dev needs to be removed.

I use folks as needed for grouping and i get used, thats how i like it, i should not have to be forced to group to see all the content or cool little gadgets, or lame little gadgets as i pay the same monthly fee. These devs do have one talent, a keen eye at how to lose subscriptions from a large demographic that is the solo player, occasional grouper, they have no concept of rewards in regardss to a purchased subscription, one reason this game is falling flat on its face.

One redeeming quality of this game is that many busybodies are not present simply because of the broken content and forced mechanics.

No one said anything about spamming anything.

Yep. Having a gamer at home makes those points rack up really fast (and really adds a lot of fun to the conversations).

My Jedi Guardian, Bounty Hunter, Sith Juggernaut and Jedi Sage are my "paired" characters, and they've all got more social points than I know what to do with. The rest are for playing around on when my favorite companion isn't available.
