EA own Bioware. They probably weren't even given the choice. EA like to have everything centralized.

And Bioware who are owned by EA. And one of the founders of Bioware, Greg Zeschuk, is a Vice President at EA. So yes, we can blame Bioware considering one of their founders, an EA VP has let it happen.

This started yesterday, my free game time expired and i noticed my CC had not been charged, so i checked my account here, noticed that a failed payment had been attempted, so i thought OK, I will remove the card and add it again, I was able to add it just fine and within secs of doing so, i checked my CC account for pending transactions and I could see this:
Card purchase
SWTOR.com Star Wars Hoensbroek,NLD
Original Amount: GBP -1.00
So my card was linked for and all validated, so next step it to use that card for by sub, but oh dear : An Error has occurred while trying to process your request, please try again later.
So I thought i would give my paypal account a try, well 2 paypal accounts each linked to 2 separate cards, but nope, still the same error over and over. I did read some posts here advising that you phone bioware support and wait up to 1 hour to be then transferred to billing and wait another hour or so, Sorry but that is just madness so i declined to go down that route.
So to anyone that cannot post and is seeking help on getting your sub back up and running, it seems the only way is to either wait god knows how long to speak to someone on the phone, or use Orgins website and pay extra for a time code, and that btw took 1 day to get to me. So far Bioware really are not impressing me, and i am sure that goes for most of you also How did you implement such a bad billing system?
Same. I had a PayPal sub setup for 6 months but for various reasons with the game I decided to cancel during the free time and maybe sub on a monthly bases instead (as 6 month sub in one only saves about £7, generous). I cancelled well in advance so all was OK with the cancellation.

However, trying to resub with the same PayPal account and it kept failing. I refused to by a time card from Origin as it works out to cost more. So eventually gave in and used my CC. Subbed, but then cancelled it and deleted the card info as I don't want them keeping my CC (look at what happened to Sony). So should have 30 days play time but it came up as 29 days as apparently they don't count half days (I still want that day back). I have a feeling the same account issues are going to happen end of the month unless EA sorts it out.

If not, they won't be getting more money from me until they fix it as again, I REFUSE to buy an over priced time card.

Gave my feedback on the cancelling form as well. Oh and to be clear, when I say I've cancelled, it doesn't mean I'm not paying this month. It's just to remove my card from their database. EA had a server break in on and old forgotten server a few months before BETA went totally open (Although was only a minor breach, but was still a breach), so another reason I don't want them to hold my CC details.

played for 1 month, now my card can't be charged xD

buying game time card is not an option for me (costs more, and will need to go through proxy again), my emails was answered just by the same auto-response bot, so i had to call them.

as I live in Ukraine, calling directly was not an option as well (would cost me more then i earn in a month) so had to find other way.

it was Skype what saved me. I even didn't have to change anything in options, just added their USA phone number to the list, and called it.
never had money on my Skype, so it cost me nothing.

after going through 3 departments finally got to person who could do something. got 1 free "compensation" day, so at least i can write this now. we deleted / reentered my card details , it was charged with 1$ verification fee. have chosen monthly subscription.. I'm supposed to get charged tomorrow. Maybe I'll have exactly same problem again tho :P

P.S. "[18:11:45] *** Call to swtor usa, duration 47:50. ***"

I had exact same issue but im 1 day ahead of you.
I had to call the Isle of Man number and after over 1 hour waiting i got someone to help me and he was pretty good giving all the information and even waited on me to reenter CC details, after he added the additional day, to make sure everything was fine, and he did say that was not going to happen again. This was on saturday, and between yesterday and today i was supposed to get billed, but guess what? Did not work and again had the exact same issue. Instead of calling again i just went and bought a Game Time Card and now i can subscribe again even with a CC plan, just because it now says i have valid days of play time. They really have to fix this, and i hope within the next 60 days because i dont want to be buying Game Time Cards all the time.

You do have 30 days m8, at least for me the "0" day also counted and was able to play, thats why it shows "29".

But yes, they do need to fix the validation of billing and not "freeze" the account as soon as it cannot make a payment or when we change a CC info. This is EA's fault, not Bioware's. but Bioware/LucasArts should already be pushing EA to fix this otherwise they are losing money and may get a bad name among those who think they are the only responsible.

i tried to NOT re-sub and they billed my expired CC anyways, a few days before my free time was over since i didn't pick up the game at release.
