I don't use it because I have a guild and if I need help I ask. I still group with random people, but I don't spam general for groups. I usually just run into someone doing the same quests.

Depends on the server you're on. I use the LFG flag all the time and rarely have to wait longer than a minute or two to get a group. However, that only started happening after a large number of us started educating the other players on the server that spamming LFG in general chat was pretty useless, especially when 3 or 4 groups worth of people were all spamming for the same FP at the same time in General. IMHO, it's a laziness issue, not a game system issue.

The current tool is a POS. It's just plain craziness to try and re-invent the wheel when there's very good working LFD tools to copy from in other games. Bioware, please quit listening to fools and get a proper cross-server LFD tool in the game pronto. All arguments against one have repeatedly been shown as pure silliness. Ramblings from people that are either insane shut-ins with nothing else to do but play a game, or people that don't have a clue what they're talking about.

There's a player created LFG channel? Go figure. On LOTRO there was a player created channedl, GLFF, which became the default channel for everything, which is what the 'general' channel seems to be now.

Yes, we are all allowed to have our own opinion, which is a good thing. But please let's all remember; just because you say something, doesn't make it true. My ex-wife still believes that after 15yrs being divorced.

People on my server seem to know how to use it, as that is how I get all my groups. I set it, and then continue to quest, and within 15-20 minutes, I get an invite, and continue to quest until it is full, and then use my Fleet Pass to go back to the fleet once the group is setup. Sorry your server is bad at using it OP, but it is a good system (of course it can use some work, but for right now it isn't THAT bad) if people use it.
