I think they had good intentions but just ran out of time. Now they want everyone to pay to sit around and wait for them to finish it.

Are you serious? The Tram? NPCs in the Tram do nothing, the Tram moves back and fourth and thats... it.. oh yeah a little steam here and there.. Oh and what 2 seconds of seeing a small section that's along static imagry of the seabed? WoW is every bit as lifeless and artificial.

I played WoW since WoW was in closed beta, and it was a fantastic game in its time, but the world was never "believable".

Incorrect. NPCs in WoW move around, chat bubble eachother, some NPC vendors travel around, some talk to you as you run by, this list would go on and on. Please tell me I haven't been trolled!

lol you entirely missed the import of what I was saying. Travel between two "alive", major cities without 1 loading screen, anybody?!

Are we playing the same swtor?

Yes chat bubbles are missing, but NPC still ave conversations with one another as you pass by that are 1. Voice acted, and 2. you can read them in the chat, just like wow.

It is true that not all NPC on SWTOR have daily routine animations, but neither does wow, tell me in Elwynn forest who's NPC apart from the peons do a little moving around? (And that is looping the same "going to get wood" animation).

In swtor almost every npc from planet level 1 to 30 has looping anims.

That's actually as false as it could be. The Tram in WoW is a separate instance which you zone into (with a loading time) and out of (with a loading time). It's nothing short of a cinematic teleportation with dual loading. (But yes, I did enjoy the ride the very first time :O)

Ok, then take the griffin - there, 0 loading screens. Forgot tram is instanced.

My point was that, ok, maybe just the first time, but still: it connects the two cities, and you don't lose the immersion like you do during ship travel.

You never played MMOs before WoW did you? EQ had zones and I never felt a loss of 'immersion'. Besides, we are travelling between planets, not two cities. Quoting WoW as an example is also flawed. Their cities are no more alive than TOR. How many years did it take that little girl in Stormwind to finally get her doll back? 7 YEARS! Yup, totally believable.
