LFD dumbs down the community, it dumbs down the game, it dumbs down the challenge.
WoW didn't dumb down anything because of the tool. They used internal data and felt that not enough people were clearing the content and made necessary changes to the content. Gone are the days of catering to the 1% elite.

In City of Heroes, everyone had a global chat name and global friend list which operated across all servers, once you added someone to global you could see what character they were playing, what server they were on, and chat across servers. Worked great, and would work even better in TOR with more servers.

I'm in the biggest guild on the Empire side of Telos Restoration Project. There are nowhere near enough people on this server. It's dead, BW released too few servers during EA and far too many after release. When they will fix this we will have to wait and see since their customer service attitude from the top is to save face, act like nothings wrong and ignore you. Admit your fault and fix the problem.

Translation:

These are games that need to be played how BeeblesTV sees fit to have them played. He does not like people playing with random strangers, he/she doesn't, why should you?

Another game nerfed its content and BeeblesTV did not take kindly to that.

Correlation equals causation in this case, and because something happened in another game it's bound to happen in this game.

Well to be fair when the game launched you should have gone counter to what StephenReid's post suggested about rolling on a newer less populated server and rolled on one with huge queues...

Actually it has happened in more than one.. Rift is another example of where LFG has gone wrong. Even more so because they don't have the stricter rules that are programmed into WoW.

You're right, I would be happier with a queue than with a ghost town.

Care to explain how it has "gone wrong"? Is that some kind of fact, or a subjective and opinionated analysis of yours?

My personal rule for picking servers at launch time. ALWAYS pick the most populated server and as subs decrease after the first month at least you still have a good chunk of people to play with.
