Every class will eventually be nerfed, and every class will eventually be buffed. You know why? Because everything scales different.

Suddenly with gear a class goes over a certain threshold and becomes unkillable, or is suddenly able to kill an enemy in the blink of an eye.

They may not test their own stuff 24/7, but they do look at damage from players. They said marauders could use some buffing because they took the numbers from hundreds of random marauders in PvP. I'd assume this is a similar situation.

Shoot First: The damage output of this ability has been decreased by approximately 20% to control burst damage and because it was enabling significantly faster than intended kills in PvP.

Acid Blade: Now provides 30% armor penetration while active.
Jarring Strike: This ability now knocks the target down for 1.5 seconds.
Hidden Strike: The damage output of this ability has been decreased by approximately 20% to control burst damage and because it was enabling significantly faster than intended kills in PvP.

Those are the nerfs, they only needed to nerf the burst damage or reduce the stun duration on the opener, they did both.. It's an over done nerf that does not bode well for the future class balancing of the game. They also nerfed the armor penetration to 30%. They might as well take out the talent that makes the opener a stun because no one will spec into it..

Usually the people running to forums to cry for nerfs are the same people who have meltdowns in a warzone, and blame everybody else on the team for their own failures.

Learn to adapt, stop relying on the developers to solve all your problems for you. That has always been my biggest gripe with MMOs, an abundance of bad players that have way too much affect on the nerfs/buffs of a game.

I got to say the OP def has a good idea. Instead of using just forum whinners as the in game testers they should look at forums, parse logs of in game pvp and also send out surveys. Then use those facotrs all together before nerfing/buffing anything in game. They dont even need to survey the entire playerbase but a 1/4 would give much more insight into the game then the people making up scenarios and numbers on the forums. Ive seen atleast 10 yellow posts proving comments made about being banned or huge crits being just blatent lies. When people lose they always say its cause someone is OP when really they are horrble. Just look at the class forums people cry they r underpowered then you look at the pvp forum and the same classes that r said to be UP are getting called OP.

Agreed. In reality whether your OP or UP it dosen matter in a warzone because they are objective based. You can win every warzone without ever engaging the enemy. So even if ur in ur underwear as a lvl1 you can be the hero in a all lvl50 warzone by just playing the warzone how its meant to be played.

Also all these people sayin they r full champion or battlemaster either .....

A. Are lying and have **** gear or
B. Dont understand what staying alive means. Ur not supposed to kill 3 4 people alone. Play other classes before u complain every class gets blown up or
C. Are great at grinding gear but have no idea how to spec or play to their classes strengths

Just because you've been playing MMO's since UO doesn't mean you know what's best for a game. I've been playing my Scoundrel back and forth as Sawbones(Heals)/Scrapper(Holy hell burst), and even tried a bit of hybrid. The class actually has different ways to build it. Look at something like Jedi Knights, you have 2 viable trees- and your DPS SHARED tree isn't viable until at minimum 40. Your other tree is practically useless. It doesn't compare to tank/shared dps tree.

Scrapper Scoundrels bursted WAY too hard. It doesn't matter if they're easily countered with your CC break, they can simply Disappearing Act and come right back behind you, let's see:

Your CC break:
-2 Min. CD

Their combo CC(Not in order):
-Flechette round : No CD
-Back Blast : 9 Second CD
-Blaster Whip : 6 Second CD
-Sucker Punch : No CD
-Shoot First : No CD

So you're telling me, that this isn't OP? That it didn't need to be nerfed because of how much ridiculous damage it was outputting within such a short time span? You could pick off two targets in a heartbeat with this, it'd be under 30-40 seconds.

If you've been playing MMOs since 1997, I think you of all people would know that when a class instagibs another class, and has the holy trinity(DPS out of stealth, sustained damage with Blaster Whip/Sucker Punch, Healing, and tankiness with Dodge/Defense Screen, AND even a long group CC with Flash Grenade?) that it should be nerfed. It should NOT be taking people down to 10-20% health within 5 seconds of a very simple rotation. That doesn't require skill, that's not noobs just calling for a nerf because they're crying, that's common sense.
