Biography: Abandoned by parents he never knew at the steps of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, it was good fortune that Kobin was strong in the Force (his Miraluka heritage helped him here). Taken in by the Jedi, Kobin was raised in the Temple to be the model Jedi, from Youngling to Knighthood. Or at least that was the plan, anyway. However, things rarely according to plan when Kobin Sadrro is involved. Fiercely independent, strongly opinionated, and informal by nature, all of Kobin's personality quirks seemed to conspire to give Jedi Masters who attempted to train him a hard time. Kobin's redeeming features of being easy-going, amicable, and calm, were what kept him from being thrown out of the Order. It was during his time as a Youngling that Kobin met Rina Khan, a friendly Human who would eventually go on to be one of Kobin's oldest and closest friends. After his time as a Youngling, he was selected, alongside Khan, by Jedi Master Rathell to become his Padawan Learners. The trio meshed well, with the Grey Jedi Rathell's outlook being similar to Rina and Kobin's own worldviews, and they soon went on several missions for the Order over the years. When the Padawans were aged 14, however, tragedy struck. Master Rathell was murdered by an unknown Jedi-Killer. Kobin and Rina, blaming their own inability to stop the attack for the death of their Master, both came to the conclusion that they could never be Jedi, the two went their seperate ways, melding into civilian life, and never expecting to see eachother again. Kobin took up Smuggling, shifting from crew to crew, ship to ship, untill he acquired his own ship at age 17 (in a game of Sabacc, of course). Kobin then began to embark on more diverse forms of work, ranging from Bounty Hunting (a bit of irony, being a Smuggler in addition to a Bounty Hunter) to Mercenary Work. Kobin drifted from planet to planet, going where ever work took him. Feeling guilty for abandoning the Jedi, but still wishing to retain his connection to the Force (needed for his survival, given his Miraluka background), Kobin often meditated to keep his command of the Force in top condition. After a few years of this lifestyle, Kobin ran into Rina Khan again, on the Outer Rim, while on a Smuggling Run for a smal-time crimelord. The Two barely recognized eachother, but once they found out who they were talking to, they were overjoyed to see eachother again. Both were 20 at the time. Rina, as it had turned out, had taken up a lifestyle almost identical to Kobin's, and had even worked for some of the same clients as he had. the reunion was short-lived, and the two went their seperate ways again. But fate seemed to be conspiring to keep the pair in touch, over the next few years, Kobin and Rina kept running into one another. After several meetings, the two eventually began to communicate over the Holonet, keeping in touch all the time. Occasionally working together on missions, sometimes trying to out-perform eachother, Kobin and Rina began to become close friends once more. It has now been 5 eventful years, and only recently did Rina's personal ship suffer a nasty run-in with a cadre of Bounty Hunter vessels. Kobin has offered his ship as a temporary home for his old friend untill she can find a new ship, and the pair are now essentially partners-in-crime at this point in time.

Biography: Discovered to be strong in the Force at a young age, like most potential Padawans, Rina Khan was taken from her family and moved to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. There she trained as a Youngling, during which time she met the Miraluka Kobin Sadrro. Both were accepted as Padawan Learners by Jedi Master Rathell, and anyone who is familira with Kobin's story knows how this particular time in Rina's life unfolds. When Rina and Kobin went their seperate ways, Rina did much the same as Kobin, though she bought her own ship at age 18 rather than winning one in a game of Sabacc. Like her friend, Khan also meditated to keep her connection with the Force. With Khan now without a ship, she has taken up Sadrro's offer of using the Fool's Fortune as her temporary home and means of transport. Personality-wise, rina differs from Kobin in that she has a tendency to be more fiery and passionate in her everyday actions, and she stands by her convictions with more overt resolution than Kobin (though Kobin is no less passionate about such things, he just simply keeps it under wraps). Khan is, though, light-hearted and fun-loving, which tends to off-set any negative characteristics brought on by her previously mentioned traits.

I know, I seemed to have concentrated on one character more than the other, but since their stories are so closely tied, it's hard to write seperate bios for them.

Hey I'm looking at posting both mine and my girlfriends characters here soon but I'm having trouble pinpointing an exact date along the timeline.

on Wookipedia the set time that most everything began (i.e. the Sith sacking the Jedi Temple) was set at 3,623 BBY, but from what I've seen across the board of everyone elses bios it's all over the place. Some say they were born in 3,622 and claim to be 24 years-old. Now I don't know this to be exactly true, but it's bascially what I've seen.

Being as the dated time works downward and all I'm just trying to makes heads-or-tials of actual time frames. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can always do what I did and leave their birthdates ambiguous, so that way you aren't confined to a single time frame.

Personally, I would just follow what Wookiepedia says, considering a lot of the characters I see here have no birth date or death, not to mention a really, really small biography. In RP, try to ignore what others put as birth dates and deaths, try to figure out what time frame they are really in, and go from there. If anything, just try to make your character as detailed as possible, for the convenience of others roleplaying with you.

Some of these characters may have been born after the Sacking of Coruscant, because they've already established their history past that event. However, the general consensus for creating an Old Republic character would be that they are born before the Sacking of Coruscant, because we don't know what happens past that. Characters that have their history already written for them past 3,623 BBY would probably be "out-dated" once the game comes out, simply because legitimate lore has been established, and their character does not meet that established time line. Of course, there are exceptions.

Biography: Harakin was taken from his mother 6 months after his birth. The jedi sensed he had a strong conection with the force, But so did the Sith shortly after a jedi master took him the jedi master was attacked. THe Sith Lord bested the Jedi Master and took Harakin.

After many long years of training Harakin went through, But the Sith Lord which had stolen him from the jedi took great intrest in him. Sensing that he was extremly powerful He took Harakin as his apprentice. On a mission to Cholganna Harakin now Darth Lorous encounted 2 Nexu. The Master taking on one Darth Lorous the other. After His master had killed his he jumped to a high up ledge for safety, While Harakin struggled with his much larger male Nexu his master did not aid him. As he shouted to his master for help the Nexu's claws gashed his eye and then ripped of his left arm with its sharp teeth. His master then truned and left Harakin to die, Harakin then force pushed the Nexu and the ledge then came down on top of it. Then he passed out, Awakening on his masters ship in the medical bay he had a mechenical left arm breaking free from his bed he sought out his master.He found his master and drew his lightsbare on him. His master expected this and threw him through the windshield of the ship. Then telling his former apprentice that his was weak and he had found a much more powerful apprentice he left.

He was on Tatooine his lightsaber was broken when he was thrust from the ship.No saber, No Credits , No Ship he was Stranded. Harakin then he surrvived by taking whatever he needed from who ever he wanted. He eventually built two new guard sabers with yellow crystals and got enough credit to buy himself a ship The Lighting Eagle , it wasnt the best ship but he did some repairs, The marjority of the repairs were done by Rwag a Wookie Harakin met while in a cantina, He helped him fight off a group of Drunken thugs with a hatred for wookies. It took him two years till he had his chance to leave Tatooine even then he ran into some problems. He needed fuel and he didnt have the credits to pay for the amount he needed and he didnt like to leave his ship now that he was one of Mos eislys most wanted. By Chance he met a force storng Shistavanen by the name of Twyat Gorsen he came from a rich family and wanted to learn more about the force, So he helped Harakin and Rwag fuel the ship and do a few upgrades and they left Tatooine. Harakin on the path for vengence on his old master and his new apprentice.

Biography: Ikoon was born on planet Ryloth, in a small settlement of Jawas that lived just outside a settlement for trading purposes. He is the son of Chieftain Ikail and Shaman Nimuuna. His mother's force sensitivity was passed on to him of all of his siblings. At some point Jedi Master Zhar Lestin made a trip to Ryloth, and felt the slight disturbance in the force that was the infant Ikoon. He sought out the disturbance, and was surprised to find that it was coming from a Jawa, since he had not previously encountered a force sensitive Jawa. Since Ikoon was a male, he could not become shaman of his people, and so his father reluctantly agreed to allow Zhar to take Ikoon and train him in the ways of the Jedi. Growing up, Ikoon was a good student, and somewhat strong with the force, quickly mastering the more guardian-esque force arts of force run, spin, and jump. As a Master, Zhar was more of a consular, so he allowed Ikoon to train with the other masters of the enclave. He especially trained a lot with Master Vandar, who's similar size made him a very great instructor to Ikoon. Through his training, he has mastered the Ataru form , and is very proficient in the Shii-Cho, Makashi, and Shien forms as well (he later is considered a master in these also, though Ataru and Trakata are his main forms). During his early lightsaber training, he developed a style of the Trakata form. The Masters debated whether or not to encourage the young padawan to continue to develop it or not, and eventually decided there was no reason to prevent him from it. Since then, he has practiced and refined it, but it is a very difficult style to master - and he takes many more years to master its' use. He graduated the trials at age 19, and has been on several assignments for the Order, taking him around the galaxy. He has come into the order at a very troubling time however, for the Mandalorian Wars are on the horizon.
((When Revan runs off to fight in the Mandalorian Wars, Ikoon uncharacteristically disobeys the council and follows him. He never loses sight of what he is fighting for however, and does not fall to the dark side like many Jedi of the time. When Revan returns, Ikoon, now a full Jedi Knight with an apprentice of his own, joins the fight against the new Sith Lords. He serves well in the war, and afterwards is promoted to Master (though he never is a member of the council). When the Sith return and begin exterminating Jedi, he takes his apprentice and flees to a more remote part of space. For the next ten years, he trains his apprentice (future Zabrak Jedi Knight Z'run Sigil) in secrecy. Although by the time he returns to space, Z'run is more than old and capable enough to be considered a knight - Ikoon does not grant him this title until he eventually passes the trials. He trains two more Jedi Knights in his time, though of the three Z'run is the most notable. In 3899, shortly after his one-hundredth birthday (which is considerable for a Jawa), he retires from the Jedi Order and is never heard from again.))

Biography:

Ten years have past, and the great hyper space war rages on. Thousands of star systems affected by the constant onslaught, flee to distant and partially safe systems.
My mother, a refugee from Ord Mantell, arrives at Balmorra, and joins countless thousands of refugees seeking to find somekind of peace and safety.
Only a few months past and war had reached Balmorra's doorstep. Reports had come in saying that the neihbouring systems of Balmorra had been ravanged by the Sith forces and plan on arriving to desimate Balmorra herself. The Republic, looking into the situation, sent a whole battalion of Republic War Ships to take on the armies of the dreaded Sith empire. Many soldiers were sent planet side to help the refugees get to safety. One of those brave soldiers, my Father, Karthus Lokk, made sure the refugees made it to safety. After the evacuation, my father and my mother met one another, and fell in love.

Now victorious, the Republic soldiers from Balmorra were to be sent to other systems who required aid against the threat.

I was conceaved only a few years after the Sith were driven back by the forces of the Republic. Raised by my loving mother, I grew older, wondering when my father would return. Years past, now thirteen years of age, I gave up hope that my father would ever coming back. When I reached eighteen, I was recruited to fight within the great army of the Republic.

I was shipped to Coruscant, the leading capital of the Republic, to trained in the Northern Hemisphere Military Barracks for twelve years. During those twelve, I learnt the ways of the soldier. Honour, Duty, Defence of the Republic. Those words were hammered into every recruits skull before the training was complete.

After about six of those twelve years, my superiors noticed I had a keen eye and an instint of a Sniper. So for the remainder of my training, I was trained by leading stealth commandos, and by master marksmen. My training was complete.

Batte ready, I was shipped back to Balmorra, to fight off the remaining Sith threat. Thoughts of my father never left me. My mother told me he was a beautiful man, with black hair and blue eyes. She also told me what he did for the army at the time. It turns out, he was also a marksmen like myself. When I touched foot onto Balmorra for the first time in seventeen years, I notices the change immediatly. Parts of the eastern side of Balmorra has been raveneged by obvious signs of past battles. The refugee camp I grew up in, now lay in ruins. I never saw my mother again. According to past events, the refugee camp was bombarded by anti-matter charges, tearing anything apart in its path. Now sworn to avenge my mothers death, I make it my mission to destroy any Sith I encounter, and hopefully will see the end of this great war that is taking place.

Now the path of my life continues, always reminding myself of my mother's death, so I can keep the raging anger towards the Sith ablze.

Hopefully now I'll be able to look at sufficent back history and make a convincing character with the proper understanding of what all happened before the Sith's attack.

Biography:
Caden was born on Dantooine to a partially wealthy family. At the age of 3 he was taken by the jedi and began his training.

Caden disliked being kept on Dantooine to train and begged to fight in the war. And after being told he couldn't, he left.

During a mission for the republic to lead a strike team against an imperial outpost, something went wrong and the Thermal bomb charges that the strike team had set went off early the resulting explosion caused the outpost to collapse on him causing him to lose his memories.
The sith found him after searching through the rubble and took him prisoner, torturing him slowly turning his mind.

Caden, now Darth Cinther was ordered by his new master to attack a jedi temple along with a team of imperial troopers, during the assault he fought and killed his former masters, but not before one of them could remind him of who he used to be.

The memories rushed through his head, the pain of realizing what he had just done tore at him and he ran, disappearing into the outer rim...
