While I agree that peak times are fine, if you check out torstatus, that peak range is VERY small (for most servers in the US it's between 7pm and 10pm, not kidding), and the bump is from low/standard to high/very high.

If they merged SOME servers you could easily be seeing high all throughout the day (also negating the need for LFD due to more people to group with)

2. You are not playing during peak time, or "I log on and every server is showing as heavy", or standard is "normal" server population.
- If someone feels the game is lifeless to them because they are playing on a server with a low population, due to whatever reason, the fact that you play on a "heavy" server has no bearing. The fact that you perceive standard pop to be "normal" has no bearing. Your perspective on your server of which feels like a lively MMO to YOU has NO BEARING.

The longer it takes to merge the population, the faster subs will bleed.
Mythbusting 2.1

The inverse of this is true. Playing on a server with low population or feels like it's low population to YOU has NO BEARING. Thus, claiming that servers need to be merged based on your server HAS NO BEARING on the actual need.
Unless you survived the Corrupted Blood outbreak, you don't know what a game breaking bug is.

Roll a character on a light or standard pop server and prove us wrong. The drinks are on me if you make it to lvl 50 without feeling like you're playing and paying for a single player game for the vast majority of the time.

Well grats to you. But that's not the issue at hand.

I was going to give you a thorough re-education but...

Cycrowave and Byteresistor have already helped to prove my point.

Similar to SWG:The Repopulation
Similar to EvE (Ground based Mechs): Perpetuum
Themepark/Sandbox Hybrid: ArcheAge

That response is from when we had the opposite problem. Or he simply didn't say why he wanted a transfer.
That wasn't so hard, was it?

Agreed, my server 'The Courageous' went from 'Standard' to 'Light' a couple days ago and now I see 6-12 players max on various planets.

'light' servers are definitely ghost towns though, at least for republic players.

Evening all, I would love to roll a new char but I discovered that legacy levels are only applicable to the server on which they were earnt. This is my first MMO and I dunno if it was my error in picking the standard server, but it's ridiuclasly quiet:

1) 40 people on fleet at peak, avg is about 10
2) Never get groups to FP with
3) Only two main guilds to choose from, possibly only a handful in total.

I get the feeling im just echoing everyone else, so I won't babble on. I just wanted to add my support for a server merge. R.I.P my server
