Is that the only thing your incompetent self could think of? Go back to 4chan.
That is not the only thing I could think of. I can tell you another few ways to talk, mass convo on AIM/Yahoo/what ever, you can also use skype as just an IM function and forget about the microphone. If you don't like that then I am sorry but chances(imho) of getting EA/BioWare to put SW:TOR on Steam is kind of slim-to-none, many of people run into more issues with steam then other stuff such as downloading the game and it not running at all. I myself have had to reinstall Deus Ex:Human Revolution via CD several times because the few times I have done it through steam the files don't download right and the game is unplayable.

Not suggesting that at all. As I said he can use skype as a pure IM program like AIM, YIM(Yahoo Instant Messenger). There is also the choice of(if possible) meeting up and spending time outside of the game and actually hanging out, outside of the games.

As to why, because it's convenient. I don't even use Origin, I bought the game on it, downloaded it, then never touched it. I doubt many people even USE origin because of the complete piece of **** it is.

As I've said earlier also, they really need to leave the DL distribution service to the professionals. Not having support for another overlay because of greed is ridiculous.
Because obviously only Valve is allowed to have a social distribution service. It's a free market.

Use window mode + any of the numerous chat services that allow you to type with others = problem solved.

Is TOR integrated with Origin? If no, then there is no reason why it should be with Steam.

Implying you know what I do with my spare time and that I spend all my time on games sure. I have run into very little issues with Steam and it works fine for me, perhaps it's not steam? Also I don't like it, and would like to at least voice my opinion so that's what I am doing.

I also am trying to avoid alt tabbing, and voicing in general, this is my point lol.

Same reason McDonnalds doesn't serve a Whopper. Do you really need to ask a forum this question?

Pretty sure the Origin overlay works. Not everyone wants to use Window Mode. Never said only Valve should be allowed, my point is that it shouldn't be force coded to not work with it.

Done typing long thought out posts, waste of time on here apparently lol.

Short answer? No.

Long answer? Nooooooooooooooooooo.

I'd be willing to bet this will never happen. EA has Origin, and its in their best interests to make sure Steam doesn't work with it so you have to use their service.
