Rollbacks are entirely necessary, I do not care if that means everyone getting rolled back, including myself who gained several valor ranks yesterday. This is *********** absurd that it has to even be asked.

You're just looking more... I work and go to school full time, and have a family life. I just hit 57 valor rank, so it's just about that time that the "average joe" that has played with a PvP focus since launch is hitting Battlemaster.

Skirmisher – Valor Rank 10
Duelist – Valor Rank 20
Gladiator – Valor Rank 30
Centurion – Valor Rank 40
Champion – Valor Rank 50
Battlemaster – Valor Rank 60
War Hero – Valor Rank 70
Conquorer – Valor Rank 80
Warlord – Valor Rank 90
Elite Warlord – Valor Rank 100

If this valor exploit was as good as forum trolls are suggesting, I'd think we'd be seeing Conquerors, Warlords, and Elite Warlords running around today. Don't you think?

I'm thinking they probably had measures built in place to see anomalies in character progression, you know to prevent duping and cheating the system like this.

Guys, you did think of that didn't you?

Not necessary and a rollback would unnecessarily punish those who did not unfairly gain valor during this week.
is my lightsaber. You can not has.

Do you know what would stop this? BW issuing a clear and unequivocal statement about the exact process they ARE using to analyze the data in the database, isolate the exploiters (i.e., people with Valor increase anomalies on 1/18), and remove their Valor from 1/18/2012 until the servers came down. A vague promise with no followup is not enough to squelch people's frustrations. . BW's silence is to blame for these Epic threads and the Kvetching. Until BW does this, no one seriously believes that BW will punish the exploiters. In order for people to be invested in a system, they must believe its fair, and no one really believes that this is fair. Even exploiters tend to feel uninvested in the long run since these games are based on a perceived sense of accomplishment. The Empire players will tire of trivialized gains sooner, rather than later.

No rollback, it sucks yeah, but hey **** happens.

It's funny how people are making this seem like the end of the world. You apparently got 50 valor levels from the 1.1 patch and a full set of Battlemaster gear right off the bat....

Maybe we should roll back to day 1 since clever people were able to farm merc commendation from the thieves den while no one was around, or because someone rushed to 50 and was able to PVP with low levels for a month right? Go back to wow and cry there with all your pandas, and talk about how much swtor is a wow clone, won't miss ya.

Edit* Oh and for all the people crying about valor levels and people getting to battlemaster gear, how about we talk about how all of you were trading with republics to get your daily and weeklies, which actually gave you the bags as opposed to the levels required?! Now that's exploiting a game system and not playing as intended, not to mention the cause for the 1.1 changes....
