Pre 1.1 as a lvl29 I didnt mind fightling lvl50s because I adjusted to help win objectives with my CC abilities and some damage here and there... but yesterday was super fun... I was surprised I was able to do some effective offense and actually take the ball to the hole in Huttball without being completely smashed by 50s.

Having fun PVPing.

See my point here? I could be better then you (hypothetical)

But you've got more TIME then I do to play, thus giving you more gear/better gear.

Now when I hit you, i can kill you in maybe 6-7 hits. You can kill me in 2-3.

Remember, don't forget the time investment in the formula of gear progression.

2-3 Seasons in, a PvPer who JUST joined the game could very well be the best player in the world.. would still have to go up against people with gear. You can't tell me that's a system that's fair and Skill based.
The same gear is obtainable to everyone, what's your point? A skilled pvp er will get the same gear as every other pvper has. Not sure you understand how it works. Yeah if you start late you have a disadvantage but doesn't mean your non competitive and doesn't mean you can't get the gear too...

10-49 is the same thing. You need to spend a lot of time grinding levels to own people.
Same as 50. New level 50s are like new level 10 players. You need to spend some time grinding to own people and be on a level playing field.

There are better pvp games than swtor that are free to play that doesn't have or require gear.
As much as I like 1-49 pvp, the opening poster is wrong. 40-49 still own people.
^this is a baddie hahaha. Lvl 40-49 do not own in fact its so much fun pvping now with 50s removed I enjoy the game so much. By the way free 2 play games that have PVP yeah they sell gear and items to make you better in pvp so that would defeat the purpose of going to them. I am one happy camper with the removal of 50s. I read someone said that 50s think their amazing with their gear its so true had that happen on another game that hate saying. Guy was decked in pvp gear cause he grinded I clearly outplayed him he only won the duel because his GEAR. So again expertise should be removed because its clear the way to get it is to grind for it and require no skill. Can't wait for team rated WZ then we'll see who the clear pvp'ers are and the grinders.

I see your point, but remember. there were only a few Reds running around compared to Blues.
That is possible, as memory can sometimes embellish things, it can also make them seem more negative than they were.

Go away troll, at this point I can see right through you now.

How many pictures do we need to send your way of fresh Level 10's doing good in 1-49?

Man it's an mmo, if you don't have time, get back on the Xbox. Besides a pvper doesn't care about a gear grind... It at least gives us a goal/since of accomplishment. I don't wanna just rofl stomp u for laughs, nah I want the gear and the achievement for Rolf stomping you...

This is pretty true. Most of the Battlemasters these days fall into the all gear/no skill category regardless of how good of a player they really are. They essentially look like a bunch of clowns because everyone knows they either obtained their rank and gear by farming lowbies in WZs, trading dailies in Ilum, or if they are Imp, by farming Valor on Ilum yesterday. It's a shame that the top title in PvP in this game doesn't really garner any respect, but rather derision and the tarnished reality that they carebeared their way to the top.

I agree with this, but for different reasons. I have two toons, one's a lowbie, one is a 50. The new 50 bracket is heaven, particularly Pub-side. It turns out the lowbies really were dragging us down in WZ matches. Aside from a bad Huttball match to start, my Pub toon got his daily done quickly yesterday while being able to play with other competent 50s who understand the objectives and actually possess skill. The fights were intense and awesome as well, far superior to any showdowns I've had prior...3/4 in WZs yesterday.

On the flipside, my lowbie did have fun and enjoyed the new non-50 WZs. However, it was still the same clueless bunch of slackers and quitters Pub-side there were before. Sure, there is certainly more hope, he didn't get 2-3 shotted, and he did get his daily done, but baddies are just bad and 1-49 is severely lacking in skill or competence...1/5 in WZs yesterday.

Even with the changes for lowbies, there is still a pretty big gulf between 10-30 and 40+ in the WZs. I see a future in WZs of a lot of peeps dragging out their 40-50 climb. You just can't take the human out of human nature. Your post illustrates the point perfectly.
