Ya, we should take stats out of all gear, so every fight would fair, but than again people would stop playing as there is no incentive to play.

Yes, some blowhard would playing for the hell of it, but I am pretty sure the majority of the playerbase is playing for the purples.

I agree. I sometimes wonder if they just Standardized PvP stats then make a "Raid" Stat if that would have been the better way to go, makes PvP even and removes gear from the PVP equation but still forces the PvE people to progress gear wise which they do anyway.

But by removing gear stats from pvp and giving people base stats doesnt that make all the stats on gear become "Raid" stats?

then there are the number cruncher who like to base there gear of specific formulas is a 2 point drop in strength worth a 2 point boost to critical. but for them there might be a talent like system where you can distribute some points to raise or lower stats. I dont think this would be hard.

The only thing i cant figure out would be how to reward those that do PvP. Would a server wide score board be enough for people?

this is 2012? can't we Innovate something else? drop the Status Quo.
Than go find a game or make one with the new system. I would prob try or even buy that game. But, as it stand all MMO is going by this system...so you knew well in advance what you are getting into.

i have to agree that pre 50 pvp is a lot more fun

i am 44 jugg, so close to the top of the bracket and sometimes i feel like a god (ok, i feel like someone who can actually hurt people)

in the old brackets i was just an annoyance, or a walking guard bot at best

I have no idea how people didn't get 50 within a week of playing.

10-49 skill based? Maybe, but there should always be a reward for PvPing.

Check ANY game that has no reward pvp and see how well PvP is doing.

SWG anyone? lol.

Bloodline champions has no gear system. Possibly one of the worst F2P games out there, 300-400 subsequent players at most.

FOTM class, pop imbalance, better class combo, better grp mechanics, etc. You don't really need a lot of skill to play MMOs. People can 's' key their way to pvp in any MMO.

Expertise is there to prevent raiders from owning pvpers. Simple as that.

You are absolutely insane.

So you admitt that it better, because you are not losing as much vs lvl 50, but now you are consider the high lvl in pvp. So what you are saying that it better, because now you are the big man beating on the little man.

Yup it all about skill here.

True... but it not an MMO, it consider MOBA or DOTA. Which is more toward twitch skill base gameplay.

Yes all MMOs should be about some form of progression, its the genre. That is why you follow the PvE carrot stick for ages on end.

PvP progression needs to be some sort of rating based. With the higher ratings give you access to some shiny or whatnot, which does not affect base stats.

PvP *GEAR* is something that needs to be available to everyone, and be customizable equally. PvE gear needs to have zero impact on PvP stats.
