Am i the only person that is happy?

The patch has not changed my happiness level at all. Nothing about the patch made a notable impact on my enjoyment of the game (the few bug fixes they found/implemented are always appreciated but nothing really worth cheering about), but neither did the patch further ruin any aspect I enjoy to the point of making me quit.

Unfortunately that is the problem, none of the issues I had with the game before the patch were addressed (largely combat responsiveness and fluidity), and there seems to be little hope of them being fixed now until the next good sized patch (which rumor has it will be sometime in March). Much of my tolerance of these issues up until this point was based on the hope that they would be at least partially addressed in the first patch. This drops the game to a "wait and see" status for me. Again, not because I am particularly more unhappy all of a sudden, but because the combat problems are so great that I was never incredibly happy to begin with.

It is funny because I was planning to continue subscribing for the first few months until the first major patch under the hope that it would address some of the gameplay issues, and by popping the first patch out so early with no fixes to actual gameplay they have convinced me to halt my subscription a little earlier than I had planned. A lack of addressing any of the skill delays, unresponsive combat, and general un-fluidity of gameplay has shaken my faith a bit that they are on the right track with the game. And no, the quick "we are looking into it" is not enough to keep me going after months and months (well back into beta) of people bringing up the issues. This is not something they should, just now, finally be starting to look into.

I think there are still more people that like the game then people who dont, it seems that only the people who do not like it, start spreading there rage across forums while the rest is playing the game.

This is usually the reason why i avoid forums unless there is something i need to know about the game. Most people can make up there own mind if they like something or not.

I am actually having a really good time discovering new worlds, doing quests and i even like doing the space missions from time to time.

Sure there are some things that need to be fixed, but i think by the time i will be level 50, most things will be sorted. I am going to enjoy everything this game has to offer, and take my time doing it, before i reach max level and start raiding.

Yes this game still has a lot of issues, but with the dev post going up a little while ago about the issues present in Illum today, this is what I have been given by Bioware since release that has made me happy:

They gave me a 50 only WZ bracket so my 50 and my alt can PvP in a much more even and fun environment.

They changed Illum from the swap-fest it was originally to something that may actually lead to some decent PvP in the future. Yes I was present for the lag filled camp fest that occurred today, but making it so you cannot be camped in base and reducing the population cap so the side with lower numbers can have a chance at getting enough people to make a fight of it are two great changes in my opinion. The fact they are patching it one day after the original changes is also a good sign. Also, they took companions out of Illum.

They have already put in a bucket load of bug fixes, and the ones to EV are the ones that personally make me the happiest.

New content, a new Flashpoint and what equates to basically a whole new operation.

Sensible nerfs to Biochem and Cybertech, and another sensible change to stop buff/adrenal/stim stacking.

Taking the randomness out of Battlemaster gear, I can handle it on the lower level stuff, but by the time you get to BM you really don't want to be getting duplicates.

That's most of the major stuff I think. Between all of those changes I can PvP and have fun, Raid and have fun... generally just have fun. I can quite happily deal with the other things that bug me about the game for now as I actually think the patches have at least shown that Bioware are trying to do the right things to make the game better.

Just my two cents.

You're right, alot of changes are good. Honestly the only problem is that people who've spent the majority of the last month working on battlemaster feel robbed that people were able to get it in a couple hours today.

Girlfriend and I are having a great time.

Always going to be people who will never be satisfied, and some that will be satisfied once some things are fixed.

However the people I seem to have the most fun with are the ones that just pipe down and play! (Doesn't mean "don't voice your concerns/bugs/etc. Just means say it once and stop ramming it down the throat of everyone over and over!)

People who have realistic expectations and played MMOs prior to WoW are enjoying themselves. People who started playing WoW during Lich King and have never played an MMO prior are complaining. This is one of the best launch MMOs ever. EVER.

I like the guild where I am in. Its very lively with random chats and activities. Game is fine, but definitely could be a lot better. I am not too sure 6 months down the line tho.

I'm happy with the game, too.
Yeah there are bugs, but that's normal and most can be avoided or I can live with them.

I was with several MMO launches and this game is by far the one in the best shape when it launched.
I love it, I leave 7 years of WoW for it, and I hope it continues to grow and give Blizzard a headache

I enjoy this game.

PS. Oh and of course: It's Star Wars!

1/3 my fps of being out in the open world in a warzone, best release yo!
being able to obtain hundreds of thousands if not millions of credits by splicing/mail bug
No high res textures or AA
Beta client looked and performed better than retail client
No PvP brackets
World PvP being changed into a glorified warzone now

Not seeing it. The story and animations look nice, so do some of the worlds, but thats the only praise this game deserves.
