what order would you show someone who has never seen any of the Star Wars movies?

Would you start with Episode 1,2 and 3?
or show the classics first with A New Hope and go in the order of when they were released?

I want to show a friend the movies in the order I saw them starting with Episode IV but I have a another friend who think it would be better to start with Episode I.

What are your thoughts?

Start with the original trilogy first, then the prequels. Empire won't be the same if you don't start with the original trilogy first!

This is a debate we've been having about our son when he is ready to sit still and watch them all. Phantom Menace is definitely more kid friendly but it sets a bad tone right off the start. It all depends if you want them to see what the epicness is all about or if you want to go with story line.
If you don't think, you shouldn't talk.
