Still can't sign up - been trying every few days since it was announced.

Initially I tried on my mac, then on a windows vista partition. Yesterday I picked up my new Windows 7 machine and still get the same error... When I enter my details it says I must enter a city.

I live in the UK and I am triple checked my details in both my account area and when filling the data in to try and become a tester.

Have you read my thread of known solutions? There's a couple solutions that come to mind that might fix your problem. See the section on looping back to terms and conditions. I realize that this is not your problem but that section contains solutions that may work for you anyway.

Hi Maxjam,

Macs are not supported at this time since the game is only available for PC.

For your other issue - does your city happen to have a hyphen in the name? If so, try it without the hyphen and let me know if it doesn't work. (This issue should be fixed in an upcoming build)

Hi all,

We've recently encountered an error with the Star Wars: The Old Republic Game Testing sign up page and users of the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer on Windows 64-bit platforms. When using Internet Explorer 64-bit, the system scanning program will either fail, or it will appear to have completed properly and submit your data, but it will actually fail to scan your system or submit your specifications to BioWare.

For this reason, we are encouraging users to either use the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer when signing up for the STAR WARS: The Old Republic testing process, or to switch to another supported browser. If you're on a Windows 64-bit system, you can identify the version of Internet Explorer you are using by bringing up the Task Manager and selecting the Processes tab. Then find iexplore.exe. If you are using the 32-bit version, it will say iexplore.exe *32. If you are using the 64-bit version, it will say iexplore.exe.

To switch to the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer, simply choose the program listed as Internet Explorer (not Internet Explorer 64-bit) program from your Start Menu.

We are in the process of getting more information about this issue in order to find a resolution. We apologize for any inconvenience.

How about we simply send a DXDiag (along with other information) via e-mail showing what kind of specs we have, or set up a series of drop-down menus as an alternative to software that is clearly flawed? This way we can apply without the headache.

Hmm that makes me think, lol how do I know if I used 64bit or 32 Bit when I signed up..

Should I redo the whole proccess? I wonder is there a way to determine if you used the 64bit or the 32bit when you signed up.

The reason I make that statment is, when I hit my shortcuts they are in 32bit. I do have a 64bit that I have to select seperately in the start menu. I myself dont think I have the problem but will redo it.

That beg's a different question now, if I redo it am I put to the bottom of the list or something. I know you have stated the order of signup has nothing to do with it for selection. I wonder has that changed some internal way or something to that degree?

Maybe select more of 64bit users, give the system a full work out lol.. Also I have a windows 7 now computer in the house should I run that through the system also? I will be buying 2-3 accounts of the game. Let me know please.

Amy made a post suggesting that if the tester portal says you're good and your account says everything is completed, you're all set. If I'm misinterpreting I apologize.

If it says your system specs were submitted under My Account, you are fine. Chances are you weren't using IE 64-bit, as you would have most likely remembered it -- Adobe has not released a Flash plugin for IE 64-bit yet, so the swtor.com site is missing a noticeable amount of content as a result.

It only affects you if you're using a 64-bit Windows OS and used the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer. The 64-bit version of IE isn't the default on Vista or Windows 7, so this issue shouldn't affect most people.
