Why do I feel like the minority?

OP, you are not alone. I, too, enjoy this game immensely. I myself have been in many launches. Not one of them was "perfect". There have always been good and great launches. But never will there be a perfect launch or first six months.

Being stuck at work I watch the forums for lack of nothing better to do when my work is done. And the people you see complaining are what is called "arm-chair developers". Adults they may be but little kids they act like when the game is not the way THEY want. For example: "WAAAAH! I'm not powerful enough to one shot mobs!" "WAAAAH! PvP is imbalanced! Such and such a class is OP!" "WAAAAAH!!!! My graphics suck!" "YOU FIX IT THIS WAY NAO, DEV'S!"

These people then tell the developers that they should do things "this way" (read: their way). When in truth, these "arm-chair deveolpers" have no idea how to even deveolp a game and have never done so in their life and never will do so. And if it isn't fixed their way, the scream about unsubbing or throwing about ficticious numbers of the amount of people "rage-quiting".

Also, these people may have only ever played World of Warcraft and because that game has had six-seven years of becoming what it is now, they set their standards so high and ignore the fact that the game just launched. Basically, wearing blinders to the world of game launches. If it doesn't run flawlessly from day one, they continue screaming until nearly seven years later. Even then...they continue to cry and whine.

They will whine, cry, throw tantrums and act like mommy took away their toy. And there's nothing you or I or anyone who enjoys the game can say that will make them see otherwise. But they are the vocal minority. Bioware knows who its core fans are. They may not say it, but they do listen to the "right people".

The game will have bugs. It will take 1, 2, maybe even three or more patches before a bug is fixed. But they will fix the problems.

So no. You are not alone, OP. Not in the least. Keep on keepin' on and enjoy the gift Bioware gave us.

Yeah, I'm liking the game too.

Haters gonna hate.
...they'd never come to see me in this dive, where bikers stare at cowboys, who are laughing at the hippies, who are praying they'll get out of here alive...

No, you're not in the minority. People happy with the game don't have much to complain about. MMO forums are always that way -- things always look worse than they really are.

does that mean we should support PIPA/SOPA? j/k

I agree. I loved the game 6 hours ago. But this patch shows where Bioware thinking process is going (Not fixing old problems but putting in new broken content and calling it "Because we care about our players" policy)

As I said the people who like this game are mostly women, or people who are not really good at games it seems.

Lets give a example?

Look at my sig, and notice that the same skills from wow is copy over from the same class into sw.

There is another post showing the same thing for sith inquis same skills and talents.

Now, for people who played wow a long time, this is a insult. We wanted classes that was not wow version .01. The game is the worse type of clone, and the smart people are the ones upset about it.

Yes the one universal rule of MMO's. The general forms are filled with complains, hate and vile. WoW is this way, STO is this way, CoH is this way...

sigh. oh FFXIV how I loath you. and I still have my CE proudly displayed. mh mh mh. I might even resub eventually. maybe XIII-2 will give me another kick...
though I must say my biggest annoyance with that game was not what most people complained about at first, but the lack of quests. a ff game with no quests? oy vey.

that being said I just enjoy TOR too much right now, even if some people think that is impossible.

Most people don't care that you enjoy it. Each own, but for people like myself feeling ripped off, and cheated to get told the game is fine, this and that when it clearly is not is a form of trolling.

As has been repeatedly mentioned by dev's from That Other Game, those who're happy tend to shutup & just play the game while those who aren't get on forums.

If you're enjoying the game & happily playing away, the odds are you're spending less time here. I'm only here now to check patch notes personally & after that I'll go back to playing, leaving all the unhappy people to forum camp & whinge.

If bioware wants the happy people on forums, mebe they should make forums accessible from in-game =)
