Why do I feel like the minority?

People seem to have become spoiled as to what an actual buggy launch MMO is like.

I keep seeing people saying that games like Warhammer, Aion, and Age of Conan were less buggy at launch and I can't believe how tiny and/or selective some people's memories are. The only game I can honestly say might be on par with this one at launch is Rift but I will say this in regards to that - Rift had a ton of broken quests and buggy bosses at launch - I've encounted all of 1 bugged quest and have yet to have a boss just dissappear, not drop loot, go into an endless evade, or otherwise do something completely unexpected. That's pretty impressive IMO for an entire game's worth of content from 1 to cap to be that polished and I can't say I've ever seen it in any other MMO (DCUO came close but only because there was so little content at launch I believe).

Unfortunately, while true in 2004, that is less true today. Even those WoW-Kids are adults now, and of age to be in college (or graduating from college) or starting their own families.

A vast majority of the actual kids today are too entrenched in the PS3 and XBox Live to worry about an MMO game.

in my opinion, this is a great game. I find that the people quitting are utterly irrational and act like spoiled babies.

THis game is not perfect, but what is?

I would love to have all the whining cry babies just leave. Go play your "perfect" game. Your negative energy is not wanted here.

SWTOR is the greatest game I've ever played....and I've played a lot.

People have said the same thing about WoW for every patch they put out but it took years for their numbers to plateau. Until the game goes free to play I'm not convinced the game's going to suffer so long as BioWare learns from their mistakes.

You cant expect perfection in any MMO that was just released. I played WOW at launch. It had bugs too. Anyone remember the corrupted blood incident? So I ask this. Am I in the minority or is everyone that likes the game too busy playing and leaving the forums filled with people that whether genuinely unsubbed or are just trolling?

Is there something wrong with me that I genuinely love this game?

I can't imagine even 1.1 leading people to unsubscribe unless they just wanted to play for a month.
Nobody's expecting perfection, they expect things like a working UI (which has been a staple MMO feature for over a decade).

Oh god no.
Official game forums are just a place for angry players to vent (or at least it seems like that).

Go read the WoW forums and you see the exact same thing still. It's been what, 6 years on the market?

If people don't like TOR, stop playing it. To come on the forums and whine like a bunch of babies instead of being constructive just takes away any credibility away from the game.

I'm honestly hoping we lose the dead weight, the community as a whole would benefit greatly from it.

I've played a lot of MMO's, TOR is no different than any of them as far as bugs and content are concerned. I can say however that the stories, voice acting and content patch after 1 month is new to any other MMO I've played. Most games you wait at least a year before content comes out, and how long did it take people to burn thru the 10 levels in The Burning Crusade?

It's simple, if you don't like it go find something else to play, the community doesn't care if you don't like the game. After one month I doubt very much you were all that interested in it anyways, rather just taking a break from raiding in WoW.

I expect bugs for at least a few months after launch and I love this game I have had a ton of fun.

The problem is the Ilum exploit will ruin the game for a lot of people including me. I have worked very hard to get valor and gear that some people are getting today in a few hours.

They need to fix that issue and rollback the servers, this is not gamebreaking for a lot of people but is is gamebreaking for a lot of people as well.

I do not mind most of the bugs but exploits need to be dealt with ASAP.

yep, except those "WoW kids" who are now of age to be in college still don't know jack **** about this industry.

Because most people obviously never played an MMO from launch.
Most people obviously have only REALLY played World of Warcraft sometime around a year+ after it's launch.
Most people should really not speak unless they know something.
But unfortunately that's apparently too much to ask of most people.
