Previous to the release of 1.1, a guildie and I were having a discussion about the importance of 1.1, and how the handling of it will basically dictate how all future patches will probably go. With that in mind, here's my initial scorecard:

Flashpoint/Operation PvE -- Fantastic set of bug fixes, with some good content additions. Looks like this one is being handled very well. Grade: A-

Instanced PvP -- Needed changes which will be good for both the game as a whole and warzone balance specifically. Some tweaking still needed, and new warzones are a must for next round, but not a bad set of changes to start. Grade: B

World PvP -- An absolute horrible mess and a disaster for the game as a whole. Not only is Ilum (still) terrible, but exploits are poised to ruin other parts of the game. Grade: F

In total, in the future, expect PvE and warzones to be good, world PvP to fail miserably.

Of course, the REALLY interesting thing to look for now is how the Ilum mess will be handled....

As for Scoundrels having no tools for short burst healing, we don’t agree with that assessment. A scoundrel, for example, is capable of producing rather significant burst healing output by using Upper Hand gained from Underworld Medicine or Kolto Injection to trigger an instant Emergency Medpack or Surgical probe when needed.

I honestly don't understand why world PVP was even implimented, if you want to PVP in the world join a PVP server. If you only want to PVP in certain areas and don't want to worry about getting ganked join a PVE server and do warzones. World PVP always felt tacked on in any game they put it in and this one is no exception.

Ilum is beyond broken right now, on pretty much any server repilic is getting spawn camped and the only way to escape is to log on a alt.

my server it's 4:1, i don't see how bioware didn't see this coming. I'm pretty sure they recieved feedback that this would happen. Empire will farm valor 3 times as fast cause rpublic can't cope with the amount of zerg empire produces.

I think world pvp only works in a game designed specifically for it. Take EvE for example, the biggest player driven western mmo in existence, it has no pve, pvp, rp servers... it only has one gigantic server with up to 500.000 players playing the game at the same time, in the same non instanced game world.

Thats how to make world pvp work, make it so that everyone is constantly "bumping" into each other while they compete for the same resources, the pvp will happen naturally as a result.

In SW:TOR we will never have anything like that, thats why world pvp will never work.

wow this explains allot about the mentality of what biodrones want. They want PvP too go away and single player mechanics to rain supreme.

Should have never put in any type of valor for npcs. You could have had special loot or something, so more people would be interested in Ilum. But the problem is going to spread into the normal instanced PVP as the valor gets farmed by the Imps. Going to be tough going for us Republic people.

I just unsubscribed myself. Hopefully the message sinks in. This game was AWESOME in beta but now it is turning into a stinking pile of ****.
