Definately not, why would you punish people that have invested alot more time and effort into this game simply because you want casual players to have an easier time?
So you`d rather punish everyone who plays after them? those who started playing before 50 brackets and exploits where fixed so they should have a easy time vs everyone after.

health of the mmo...

There's no reason to reset valor. People worked hard to get it and the fact that you opt to call them "no lifers" is insulting and rude.
I called them nothing, i stated call them what you want

So... you're basically suggesting a knee-jerk reaction, in that many players, myself included, would lose ALL of my PvP gear, and Valor?

Firstly... this idea simply plunges off of the diving board blindly into the negative pool to immeasurable depths of bad ideas.

If I lose all of my PvP gear, then that's pretty much ALL of my gear... minus my Matrix Cube and my implants. So... that leaves me completely naked of gear, thereby completely useless in PvP or PvE.

How do you recommend that I recover all of this lost gear? Simply go out and farm it off of mobs? Oh, well I'd have a heck of a time downing mobs my level because I now have no weapon (btw, most of my assassin abilities require a double-bladed lightsaber to use), and I have no armor.

I suppose I could browse the grossly inflated GTN and buy new gear... but how far do you think 1.4 million credits will get me? I don't know about your GTN, but there's not a lot of assassin gear on the market, and the gear that is there... is, as previously stated, grossly expensive. And what if I didn't have that money? What if, like many people I know, have less than 100,000 credits? What will they do?

No sir, resetting PvP gear and Valor points is a horrible idea... and many people who have already gained the Valor rank of 60 will lose all motivation to re-obtain it.

All of this coming from some jelly under the level 50 mark complaining that people who are 50 and worked their arses off for that valor/commendations and endless champ bag fails just so he can catch up lol.

fail post is fail.

And i for one, would quit permanently if that happened.
I got a jar o diiirt,I got a jar o diiirt,I got a jar o diiirt... And guess what's inside iiit..

This is NOT World of Warcraft, thankfully.

I love the fact that I can play with other levels in PvP. The lack of "brackets" allows people who are playing together but not necessarily at the same leve to PvP together. I love it love it love it!

Please Bioware, don't change it.

I`m currently 39, and id stand to lose quite a bit from this too, but i believe its a sacrifice thats worth it.
I wouldn't loose quite a bit. I would loose everything, my gear that is. I've vendored all my crap PvE oranges, purples and blues. Yeah what a brilliant fix, you would go from low levels having a hard time in PvP to high levels having a hard time in PvP (they would have to grind WZ's naked to eventually get some gear). When you eventually got to lvl 50 you would have to be in the same WZ's with some of these people and then you'd propably make a QQ thread about how you don't want crap/non geared players in WZ's because they don't contribute anything.

Bad solution is bad.

I say we change valor ranks so it takes more valor the more population your side has playing on average over the last month.

That'll fix PVP and really bring the community together.

Over half of the gear was obtained rolling over lowbies (WZs+dailies+bag trades), the rest was obtained through the broken Ilum mechanismn. Sounds deserved

I agree the bracket idea would kill PvP. But seeing People decked in full PvP gear (and yes lots of it comes from rolling over lowbies) only a month after the game has been released is a sad joke.

I wouldn't mind a gear reset (and yes I have champ gear as well), as after the patch hits, noone will ever have a chance to obtain gear as fast as it was till the patch.

50s will have an actually challenge, and WZs won't be decided primarily one the base of what side has more 50s in the WZ.

But than again most people who rolled lowbies (best done in pres for the xtra challenge) are what someone called the hardcore PvPlers. Sad jokes.

The 50s brackets should have been in from day 1 so that what happened could never have happened.

What's the difference between rolling pugs in a comfy premade and rolling level 10's with level 50's?

Nothing!

It's just one thing after another. I'm fine with fixing already existing problems, but punishing people who tried to make the best of the game as it is.....is just stupid.

Want to drive away players? Start reversing work they put in with almost no warning. That'll really bring those subs rolling in.

health of the mmo...
You claim this is for the 'health' of the MMO, and you label the previous bracketing of PvP an "exploit;" please explain this blatantly ignorant accusation.

An exploit, as per the dictionary and within the proper context, is defined as "to take advantage of (a person, situation, etc), unethically or unjustly for one's own ends."

You claim it's unjust, or unethical, however... lower levels are ONLY at disadvantage due to:
1) No expertise on any <50 gear
2) They don't have all of their advanced class spells/abilities
3) Their spells/abilities won't hit as hard as a fully PvP-decked player

Players who participate in warzones in the current state that they are in, do so knowing the above disadvantages, and despite those disadvantages, I've seen several sub-50 players top the damage/healing charts. So despite the fact that they are at a disadvantage so-to-speak, they are still quite effective.

Now, I might agree with you if the sub-50 players had to participate in warzones without any kind of buffs, to either stats or abilities, but as it remains, sub-50 players are only at a slight disadvantage.
