Some questions:

1) If you knew you would never be PvP'ing, what build would you use? Something similar but without the movement reduction talents, for example?

2) Ok, I must be missing something...this game doesn't have a macro system yet, we can't even make an assist key. Third party systems have been mentioned like the razer mouse with all the buttons on the side, but how is a third party system going to know things like range or priority? Is your macro pushing the buttons in a sequence, like "/castsequence" did in WoW? Is it pressing them all at the same time, or in order with a slight delay?
Please advise. I have a Nostromo n52 myself, I am sure I could get it to do whatever it is you are doing.

Thanks.

1) A pure PVE shield spec is pretty straightforward: Add mitigation talents instead of root/snare stuff. See for example here: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#801rMGrd0rogzZMsbZb.1

2) He's using a macro which attempts to cast each ability in priority order, in rapid sequence: the first one which can go off, does.

Ok, so you basically have the macro type a 'word', like "12345", or make it type each character with whatever the minimum delay is, and you configure SWTOR to have no delay...

I use a razer naga...but you whatever software you have available....but yes it presses the keys in sequence. I use a 10ms delay between key presses and it works great.....now if i could just shut off warning messages ....

So I have my mouse set up to run a priority macro, but I'm finding it always runs through each ability, like *click* *click* *click* *cast* *click*...if you catch my meaning here.

So if everything is on CD, it takes a few tenths of a second to *click* through to the last ability. Am I doing something wrong, or this just a ToR thing?

Second question, it also seems to cache the mouse clicks, so if I click twice in a row, ToR runs the rotation twice...which means if I get excited and click it too many times, I'm essentially locked out of other commands until the cache clears.

I'm totally fine if the problem is use error on my end, just wanted to toss this out there to make sure it's not just a ToR behavior.

Hi mate, first thanks for the awesome detailed info you have provided. Just a question on your naga macro, I am using a naga also any chance you could include your setup for the naga?

Cheers.

There is a key press queue in game preferences that you need to set to zero for macros to work correctly. Im at work texting from phone but ill give you my razer set up later tonight.

So, i set up blitz, ss, hib, sticky, energy blast, ion pulse and haammer shot as 3,4,5,6,7,8,9 respectively on my hotbar. Then with naga software i record the key presses 3 - 9 with a 10 ms delay between presses. Set up the macro to the key or mouse click of your choice and enjoy spamming away while maximizing your output =)

What part of this is fun or challenging?
