You are so sure that you are right about this aren't you. Can't wait for Dev state on this to break your dreams.

Have you even tried being hit by someone EXCLUSIVELY by attacks that you can dodge/parry/shield? You can just sit there and do nothing and stay alive for prolonged period of time. That's just silly and I guarantee you, they didn't intend tanks to be able to achieve this.

Simple they have 2% more damage reduction, 16% more armor, and rely the least on things that crits ignore.

I was wondering a thing i didn't found in this topic : (and sorry for my english)

About damage you receive by "guard" ability, can it be shielded all the time, not regarding what type of damage it is on the player guarded ?

I think the guard damage can not be mitigated.. Feels like it anyway

OP seems to talk about "true damage" but i'm sure to understand...
I tried a little but i die so fast... i'm not good enought against 50's...

Easy fix, spec DPS, use tanking stance, you lose minimal mitigation.

On the other hand tank mitigation is somewhat fine, if we'd always be attacked by 1 of each class.

On top of that I haven't seen my sentinel friend die either when we queued as shadow tank, sentinel and scoundrel healer. He's also a much better carrier in hutball and I can do a lot more as support if he's the one being focused. I just guard him or healer depending on situation, there's no point being carrier as a tank at this moment.

The biggest issues seem to be getting defense stats on PvP set without much use for them and the imbalance of mitigation between different sources of damage (classes). Against some we are immortal, against others we might as well be DPS with extra hp ... which is negated by guard.

In the end the game lacks balancing, they randomly set the tags for attack types and damage types without any thought to how things interract in PvP (PvE seems ok).

I wouldn't necessarily say that, most Juggs don't bother with their 31 point talent as 11 points in other trees are better.

I read through most of the stuff and I agree with everything BESIDS
  • don't make guard ignore mitigation, there is no real reason for this, I am not even sure it counts in mitigation in its current form
  • nerf rage specc and the jedi pendant
  • make taunts provide protection points in pvp

Taunt SHOULD provide protection points in Warzones so we look like we are doing something and can actually compare our effectiveness.
