This game badly needs mods and macros.

I hope they dont implement damage/healing/aggro meters so I get to carry people who afk during raids.
Without those tools, it becomes much more difficult to determine whether people are actually trying, or just making it look like they are trying. It also becomes much more difficult to tell who the baddie is, or if you are being a baddie yourself

Like most other issues in this game development there all traced back to the engine choice. They choose a untested engine based around vary rigged command sets. It also cannot handle large player loads (this is why the game is phased/instanced based on population) and that aspect will also never be changed.

Real question is why on earth did they choose to go with something untested and unsuitable for the large scale game. As opposed to something like gamebyro that has years of development and testing behind it for a large range of games.

this is why this thread will never die.

I'm all for it. The sooner the better. I hate the UI, the GTN UI makes me wanna throw up.

It peeks throught the API, pokes the cycles then extracts future routine descriptors, which are then converted to text and parsed into information the interface can use. At the UI it functions as a HUD that tells the player what will be happening and when before the player ever encounters it.
Can we please just have our pre-KotFE SWTOR MMORPG back?

More customization is needed because there are always aspects of a MMO interface that don't feel right and it can make the difference between continuing to play a character and deciding it feels too clunky and frustrating to continue.

They could have included click healing, cool down timers with popups to know when a ability is ready to use or when a proc happens that resets a cool down, they could also allow resizing and repositioning of UI elements, and methods to accurately track your performance in a fight or the increase you get from a upgraded piece of gear, but they didn't. With addons the community helps give players what they want.

Blizzard got to the point where they looked at addons that were getting piles of downloads and realized this is what players want, they would then make a basic version of that addon integrated into the game, Scrolling Combat Text and Power Auras are a couple that come to mind that made it more intuitive for players to play the game.

People like options, we don't all drive cars that look the same and are the same color, we don't all eat the same food, or wear the same clothes. It is about choice and right now there is no choices, people just want a way to interact with the game that suits their play style.

So hang on a minute, you're saying that it gets the information from the game?

The present impossibility of recount, omen, hotbar manager, frame manager... it's hard to take. I can survive without a boss mod but being unable to design my own UI is killing me.

It gets more frustrating as I get better at using my class/spec's ins and outs. There's certain things I need the UI to do differently, certain things I need arranged and positioned, and I know exactly how to do it in WoW with the available frame managers/buff filters/etc.

I heard of some new flashpoint coming soon in a patch and that made me feel kinda disappointed. Some new flashpoint means NOTHING to me as compared to the need for addons/UI/LUA.
