If you look at 1 server at 1 certain point of time it is not valid as well.

Not if the site has valid information. Question is is there a site that has valid info. Not sure if swtorarena is valid. Im sure that massivlyjoystick site is not good to use as proof.

But its not important the only important thing is how to improve the game. The topic starter has good points although that site he linked is not good and his title could be less negative. Resuscitate is clearly the wrong word.
Doesn't mean to be negative to him as well.
Mazes and Labyrinths??, this is the opposite http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LibXsQBzY_c. A narrow linear Themepark doesn't fit Star Wars or any mmo

I wasn't aware the game needed resuscitation. Perhaps you should find another game ot play.

I would ask if I can have your stuff, but since that seems to be frowned upon by the moderators here, I'll just tell you to please go away.

I would say you could rename this thread "THINGS WOW HAS THAT SWTOR DOESN'T" without changing a word of the OP.

One wonders why you aren't playing wow as a result. But we also know you DIDN'T play WoW anywhere near launch, because most of these things weren't around then.

"- A customizable UI with third party add-on support. All healers (experienced healers) that I know cringe at the lack of a customizable UI. Click-to-heal made healing fun. Bioware MUST implement this.Ensure mouse-over heal support. "

- TRANSLATION - I was one of those people who couldn't play WoW after patches until they fixed healbot.

"- Increase combat-responsiveness. Having a 1.5-3.0 second delay between the key stroke and the ability executing, even with a 50 ms connection, is UNACCEPTABLE. This game's combat feels incredibly dull, and clunky, and this is one of the reasons for it." -

I've been dismounted on my speeder once or twice, but 3 SECOND delay? Way blown out of proportion.

"- Add a combat log. I will say this again. ADD A COMBAT LOG. IT IS A *MUST!*"

Not a must by any stretch of the imagination. It's pretty simple to figure out which attacks are priority. Do you really need Elitest Jerks to tell you exactly what buttons to press in order?

"- ADD TARGET OF TARGET into the game (not the alt +t toggle that isn’t really ToT.)" -

I suppose this would be helpful in raids, certainly not gamebreaking though.

"- A fix to optimization issues. Great machines are not running this game so great."

Meanwhile my midrange machine is running this game as smooth as butter. But knowing how to maintain a computer has nothing to do with that...

"- A fix to delay issues that are not related to latency. People have "50 ms" latency and have a 3-4 second delay on select abilities. "

You already said this, and I already pointed out it was hyperbole.

"- Improve your servers so that you do not have to create two separate instances for a mere 50 people in a SINGLE sub-zone. That is just asinine and removes the social/community atmosphere from the game. I bought an MMORPG, not a single-player Mass Effect RPG."

Agreed

My entire guild bought the game on Origin, which is well over 40 people.

Do we represent the sales for all of bioware sales and provide a statistically significant indicator of where/how the game is purchased? No.

Neither does Massively, especially in a niche market like the UK. You cannot make stupid correlations like "SWTOR is dying, it's not selling well in a 3rd market"

No, thx. Experienced healers can heal without addons.
sure can. did it for 6+ yrs in that other game and even with the bad reaction time in this one i heal just fine without some oddball 3rd party app. I dont even see how people use those esp to heal. Tried it once in a raid and it slowed me way down, got rid of it...healed a realm first raid. Was in a raid with another healer using some healing mod /app / prog whatever and she kept yelling in vent when people were out of her range....what??? i found her and she was standing completely still and expected everyone to run close to her to get healed because the names on her mod would lighten and darken showing who was in range and who wasnt. The whole time yelling that she couldnt heal because people were running out of her range. Everyone else in the raid was stupid because her mod told her so..she pretty much said that on vent.
Sith lightning is just a rip off of Shaman lightning.

I notice that adding a focus target is on the list but that already exists in game.
My 2 cents

Unlike several here, I'm enjoying the game - but I also agree with several of the OP's most key points.

- All healers (experienced healers) that I know cringe at the lack of a customizable UI. Click-to-heal made healing fun. Bioware MUST implement this.Ensure mouse-over heal support.

- Increase combat-responsiveness. Having a 1.5-3.0 second delay between the key stroke and the ability executing, even with a 50 ms connection, is UNACCEPTABLE. This game's combat feels incredibly dull, and clunky, and this is one of the reasons for it.

- SERVER FORUMS. THIS IS A MUST TO ENSURE THAT A STRONG SERVER-COMMUNITY MANIFESTS ITSELF.

- Improve your servers so that you do not have to create two separate instances for a mere 50 people in a SINGLE sub-zone. That ... removes the social/community atmosphere from the game.

- Better customer support. Hire MORE people, HAND THEM a company policy book, and GET them helping people out. No excuse for not having enough people when you knew how much traffic there would be on launch day.

I highlight the matter of tiny instance populations specifically because, prior to launch, Bioware emphasised how huge their environments are. That wasn't an idle boast, either; they're vast. But awe-inspiringly vast becomes soul-crushingly lonely when you're traversing them alone without even a friendly NPC for company. Today, I can travel the entire breadth of Tatooine without seeing a single other player. It's very quiet. It's a little sad. It feels a bit like I'm the only player on planet.

But most importantly: even if the instance was filled with fifty other people, that wouldn't be enough to fill an area of such SIZE.

Bioware, you've created a vast landscape. Please allow it to be filled with vibrant, chaotic, cluttered life.

"Mods are stupid because this one person was bad."

Nice argument buddy.

Isnt it funny how many people want to save TOR from its death? Maybe all those people should first finish school, then go to college and then join a gaming company, I mean it seems like the world needs such talents, doesnt it?

On a more serious note, why change TOR into wow 2.0? Why change an existing game into something totally different in the first place? Whats the point of it? If people want to play a different game, why dont they just play that one?

Addons like mouseover healing and click to heal just make bad players in the longrun.

Over reliance on a crutch never makes for intelligent gameplay
