I would not call those FPS drops "random". They happen when there are many player character models for your computer to render.

So it's not really random (well, the number of players to render is) and this can't be and won't be easily fixed (every single MMO on the market has to deal with the exact same problem, and pretty much NONE have succeeded so far).

I really hope Bioware don't take these posts to seriously, basically people telling them how to run their game.

The reason I post this is I'm scared it will go down the same road as SWG and DAOC where the minority were listened to and a great game was wrecked. Most of the players don't read these forums and are enjoying the game for what it is. I hope Bioware listen to them and not what is written on here.

It is clearly obvious that you care much about this game and want it to succeed. There are some points on the list I agree with, however, making statements like the above does not help you in reaching to either Bioware reps or other forum users. Quite the opposite - it just makes you sound more like a whiner, less like a critic with something to say. Too much negative propaganda and making threatening demands, take it easy!

What did you expect post christmas? EVERY game that launched before christmas has a drop the week after it. SWTOR is doing fine, sales-wise. You can always improve things, and I agree with you there are things which need to be improved, but January is a quiet period in all kinds of sales, so the sales drop was expected.

Indeed? I didn't play WoW at launch but I swear I remember people being excited about finally being able to use add-ons. Maybe I'm thinking of something different?

In any case this simply increases the need for SWTOR to implement add-on support sooner rather than later.

Did you mention that one KEY reason for the decline in players is to do with the fact that BioWare and EA staggered launch; and only gave shops 'X' amount of copies? So that's why no one else bought it, as they couldn't!

If you do a sample over 2 months that will be more than clear.

If the things you want are in another MMO; Go and play that.

People make comparisons to WoW, and want features from it, because it is the standard - just like Everquest was before it, and just like Asheron's Call (Or Dark Age of Camelot), and Ultima Online. People who fail to realize this are more dense than they're letting on.

I, personally, agree with the majority of this post. To be completely honest, I want the game to feel more like WoW - because it's functional, and it works. From there, BioWare could develop the game further.

EDIT: Don't get me wrong, though. There's a lot that BioWare got right, but there's a lot of things that were executed poorly, or are just not working the way they were supposed to. Then there are the features that are incomplete; guild management, combat logs, chat bubbles, etc...

Just skimmed the OP briefly, but noticed this one:

Quote:
- Add FOCUS TARGETS.
Isn't that Alt + F?

Quote:
- A fix to delay issues that are not related to latency. People have "50 ms" latency and have a 3-4 second delay on select abilities.

- Increase combat-responsiveness. Having a 1.5-3.0 second delay between the key stroke and the ability executing, even with a 50 ms connection, is UNACCEPTABLE. This game's combat feels incredibly dull, and clunky, and this is one of the reasons for it.
And aren't these the same thing?

Quote:
- Implement a threat parse so that tanks can actually gage how much threat they have on targets. Right now, they are in the dark and they have a disproportionally stressful job. I can personally testify that I don't know a single person, nor do I think such a person exists or is common, that appreciates the current system of things pertaining to threat.
Don't want this, just FYI. Now you know one

And some of the stuff in section 2 is already coming.

No ****.. I saw that in the first post and I couldn't help but go, "what the f...?"

2 million sales Globally, more than any other MMOat launch (EVER), and the game is in trouble?

Give me a break.

Most of the aforementioned list is just nit-picking crap that the game doesn't NEED, but more preferences of SOME people.

ability delay, working on FPS, customizable UI, Combat log, macros, addons, dual-spec, okay I'll agree those are mostly needed.

Chat bubbles? Yeah okay. Here's the last time I used chat bubbles in an MMO. Ready for it?

Anyway server forums? I don't know how the rest of you play but I play IN-GAME on my server. Server communities aren't built on a forum they are built in game, especially considering a very SMALL portion of the playerbase even uses the forums. That's for ANY MMO.

Camera options? this is necessary or SWTOR will die? Really?

Threat gauges? So we can make it easier? I tank, I like being in the dark. I like having the challenge. Is it stressful? OH NO! Tanking is supposed to be, it's what makes you better. It's what makes you LEARN your class instead of winging it and hoping the healer picks up where you failed.

Like is said A LOT of this is nitpicky crap we could seriously do without.

Big issues, most of them need to be fixed, many of them are in the process of being fix per Bioware. In fact I see a lot of things on the list that have been touched on either in 1.1.1 or on the Dev tracker as planned to be implemented or working on.

I had to laugh at this one.

I think the EA/Bioware company policy is the problem to begin with.

PLEASE optimise the game. I'm running on an Alienware laptop and it looked really smooth when BioWare showcased it also on Alienware laptops during E3 and PAX...
I get stupid FPS that goes up and down, up and down. Screws me over bad.
- Has successfully scavenged HK -47.
- Has successfully killed Darth Malgus without pushing him.
