Couldn't have said it better myself. You don't see many melee characters breaking 200k damage in a warzone and for good reason. Even with chilling scream and force leap you can still get kited. Force leap is the only thing that makes playing one bearable. If they didn't have it they'd be totally useless. Get close to a range character and he'd knock you back, stun you and wait for you to try and walk through the barrage of beams / missiles just to get stunned again.

Seriously play a melee character in pvp before you make a thread like this lol.

It's absolutely irrelevant whether the classes who have this ability are overpowered or underpowered. All it takes is another dps with them and you are dead. You get leapt on, you knock them back, but to what end? It's not like you can gain distance and stay out of range for their other gap-closers, unless you are trying to run away instead of "kiting" (kiting in swtor doesn't exist for this very reason. You are always in range of whoever is chasing you and CC doesn't require them to close the gap completely either, so it's basically LoS and CC rather than kite).

The game is horribly flawed in that aspect.
So you are saying unless one range can beat two melee it is broken?

@OP - so I guess you think balance would be to have everyone just have the same 3-5 commands to use. But then i guess you would say that PLAYER SKILL LEVELS ARE OP and list the names of the people who have killed you in a cry for nerf post.

As a sage I really hate it too, but they do need it. Hehe whats worse is running in hutball, goal line in sight! I'm gonna score! oh crap, wth.....pulled back with that force pull.

So the one really good skill for what is pretty much universally recognized as the most UP class should get a nerf?

I see what you did there...
SWTOR PvP: now running on the Ellipsis engine.

I've only been playing a short time. My main focus is (or wants to be) PvP. I've been "pulled" in Huttball, but everything was so frenetic that I couldn't figure out who did it. Thx.
SW have the least stuns and no knockbacks or pulls.

Most of the other classes have a decent arsenal of stuns and knockbacks.

SI and Consular have the most stuns, knockbacks... and other toys good for pvp.

Marauders have no pull or push.

Juggs have a force push.

Force Leap... only jumps to where you are.

If you were pulled somewhere.. you better look to the Powertech.

the only thing i agree with the OP is that it needs to be effected by resolve.
and root should imo. knockbacks, pulls, cc, knockdowns all fill it up yet people can keep me as a melee in place for 2-4 seconds it seems and i cant do a thing about it.
