You are even more out of context than my post

Interesting. As a PVP tank, I legitimately did not know about this issue. Enlightening, and in need of a fix.

Well, you see, EA owns bioware like how Vivendi owns Blizzard entertainment, so complaining about the topic by blaming EA would be like blaming Vivendi for the battlegrounds in world of--

Screw it. You don't get analogies.

Vivendi doesn't own Blizzard. Blizzard is technically a subsidiary of Activision, which is publicly traded. So blaming Vivendi is like blaming KFC for SWTOR PvP.

Allright since a poster here asked that I test what happens when I remain in my tank specc with offensive gear here's what happened.

* Armor is indeed the biggest contributor to overall sturdiness of my character as I remained relatively "tanky" using only soresu form and no shield generator or defensive stats.

* Shields and Defense seem to affect survivability a bit less but in no way that it's completely worthless or whatever.

* Damage boost from using offensive stats was minor as expected. (I'm saying this because it's easy to compare to my DPS build where I can rock 6k AOE with Smash - I'm also not biochemist so I don't use adrenals)

So... I can only say that my opinion hasn't changed even a little bit. Tank stats are fine. Sure some classes/speccs ignore some of the defenses(or all of them for that matter) but that doesn't make defense stats/shield worthless. As I stated earlier, little things are the big things. Maybe parrying that Charge/Leap or shielding a bit of damage will make a difference between staying alive for 1 more interrupt on the turret controls or to pass those few meters that I need to score a goal. Maybe it will make me stay alive 2 more seconds and cast 1 more slow which will slow people enough for my allies to lower the barrier/plant the bomb.

BTW with patch fixing buffs stacking you will see what I'm say here even more clearly. Or you won't. I have no idea how this thread even reached this many pages. All I see is people who claim that this is 100% true because of some "testing" and then whole bunch of other people who go like "Hey, I had no idea about this but YEAAHHH fix the tanks!!!".

Don't you ask yourself, why did so few people "notice" this in the first place? Because it's not true, mitigation is not a problem.

I seriously doubt you own a shield vanguard you enjoy playing. You post smells like fantasy.

Absorption and shield are stats on items. These two stats are relative worthless compared to other stats. This is a major factor, you somehow completely skipped with grace.

Another factor is that many of the ability points you put into shield spec, affecting shielding, is relative worthless.

I honestly believe you posted the above, because you don't want troopers to become on pair with whatever class you are currently playing as main, who molest just about every shield spec you meet ingame.

TLDR, your post smells of BS.

So now you think troopers are underpowered. Is that the new tactic? That instead of crying for nerfs to all other classes but their own, people try to ask for buffs to their own class?

Classes are fine, consumables are not.

You can shove your assumptions where sun doesn't shine pal. I'm a Juggernaut, valor rank 54, tanking since level 10. Learn to play. Kkthxbai
