althou on ac switching i think there should be a grace period and i think its needed of like 1 day @ lvl 10 if u didnt like the feel of the toon u could choose the other one instead of rerolling another toon but like i said a limited time not all the time at the press of a button
It would be interesting if a system could be designed to allow you to play one A/C then the other, maybe Class quest one you play using Sage abilities activated then the next you play with Shadow abilities activated, then your master/trainer asks which path do you want?

Of course that is not going to happen, but on to the OP, yes on dual spec within the same A/C, but not between A/C's

As far as levling goes...you have a companion you know...
Spec healing, go kill stuff, spec DPS and go kill stuff. Tell me which is easier and faster. I'll bet you dollars to donuts that the DPS spec kills things much faster and easier. Can it be done as a healer? Yes but it's slower and less fun.

Honestly until about level 20 I spec'd healing, it was okay, then I went to a DPS spec. It was light years better. At 41 I tried going back to healing, it lasted about one hour, seriously killing things took maybe 2-4x longer.

Without dual specs the server I'm on is losing one good healer (and one good tank since my alt can tank). Simply because I'm not gimping my PvP or solo play just to help others run flashpoints.

Even in WoW I main tanked as a primary arms warrior simply because I refused to be gimped in PvP just so 39 other people could get decent gear. At that point some amount of skill could make up for the differences between the talent trees in WoW. At least for healers that's not true in SWTOR.

I'd have no problem with a separate PvP ONLY spec option being introduced as this seems to be the reason most people are calling for being able to have dual spec.

People keep using words like "mandatory" and "required." Yet, I am able to play the game without any of these features.

It's not mandatory, it's just a nice convenience. I would like to be able to heal and dps depending on what was needed for the group, it would make grouping easier and maybe some of the ppl wanting a LFG que would be able to find groups easier if there were more spec options available.

This is true, I just thought it would be nice for those that tank and heal to have another option as well. I think there would be more tanks and healers available if they allowed a dual or 3 specs available. This would make finding groups easier for a lot of ppl and reduce the "We need a LFG", as I am very agains that.

There is always a shortage of healers/tanks. That is why I rolled a healer. If you want quick groups, roll something that is needed. LFG and dual spec is a crutch and all you will get is crappy low quality/poorly geared tanks/healers.
