Hook us up with some dual spec.

No I hate the idea that as a healer, who heals in PvP and PvE, my easy flash point spots will be taken by a DPS with duel spec because it's easier for them to find groups.

People now routinely do things in LFD groups that would have gotten you blacklisted on a server prior to 3.2 (when LFD launched). The lack of accountability and lack of need to group up on a server has led to this, not dual spec. Add in a swing back to harder instances in Cata after Wrath's easier instances, and it was an absolute disaster.

Dual spec was a godsend and allowed more people into endgame content.

LFD was the chocolate covered poison pill that killed WoW's community.
Yep, cross-server lfd is why I stopped tanking and healing outside of my guild when I still played WoW.

I'm looking forward to dual-speccing so that my merc can have a second spec in the bodyguard tree and maybe I'll do some FPs. Not even worth bothering with until then with the insane cost penalties imo.

Deal with it, it's coming and there's nothing you can do about it.

And btw, SERIOUSLY, this topic AGAIN?

Ok seriously I dont freaking get it.

People whine because they say that this game is a clone of WoW, and then they whine because this game doesn't have the same features of WoW

Roll another character if you want a different spec.

As someone who has been both the main tank and main healer (at different points in time) in progression guilds as far back as EQ I personally can't live without dual specs.

Right now when someone spams chat "LF1M Healer" I have to ignore them because I refuse to gimp my solo pvp and leveling by being a healer full time. Would I heal the heroic or flashpoint if I could dual spec? Yes. Am I going to run around taking 2x as long to kill things for other peoples convenience? No.

I suppose if this game required grouping all the time (like EQ) I would be more willing to spec for healing, but as it stands I spend maybe 1/10th of my total time in a group so I'm not going to pick a grouping spec.

Personally I loved the Rift system. As a cleric I had two healing specs, a tank spec, a PvE DPS spec and a PvP DPS spec. It was great! I could fill any role based on demand! Of course there isn't enough differentiation between talents to really support more then 2-3 specs in SWTOR. I guess if I had my choice I would settle on three specs, then I could have my healing spec, PvE DPS and PvP DPS specs.

I think they should have 3 spec options.

One for:

DPS/Heals
DPS/Tank
and Pvp

Okay, as long as you promise to switch to your healing spec so I can play DPS.

As someone who was the main tank for a raiding guild and did quite a bit of pvp, it didn't bother me in the slightest.

As far as levling goes...you have a companion you know...
