The Operative Nerf Wouldn't be Fair

I keep reading all of these threads about nerfing operatives this and nerfing them that. Well, I've also watched a few videos and would normally agree with this after watching them. However, what about people who don't PvP? Where is that going to leave them in terms of DPS for PVE? What about those of us who don't use all these crazy critical potions and such just to get the highest backstab on a person that they possibly can? I feel like nerfing the Operative is a bad move. Not only that, it's unfair to those who don't participate in using these extreme PvP potion measures. It's just not fair.

If anything, nerf the darn potions, critical stims etc. However, by nerfing the operative, especially those who have spent so much time with them, is only going to cause low moral within the operative community. This also goes for any other class that people may be screaming about. I just think it's going to cause a domino effect and a FOTM with everyone rerolling until finally people start bailing to another game. Please don't do it Bioware!

The devs have said that they like where every class is. None are overpowered, though a couple need a little boost (marauders/sentinels probably).

This topic doesn't make sense. Anyone playing the class at present has to know how OP they are and that the nerf bat is coming. If you fear the end result. I suggest investing some time in an alt until the dust settles. I know I have no intentions of playing my "OP" Ops character until they sort it out.

The class is NOT ok.

It is broken.

Having big damage attacks off of GCD (BAD!) having crappy survivability beyond the gank (BAD!) being the only class in game with that much front loaded damage (BAD!). The class is just bad at present. It needs to be addressed. The Op/Scoundrels should have better sustainability in a long fights and less up front burst damage more like an Assassin/Shadow.

No it would not be fair to tone down a class that can stun someone in PVP, knock them down, take 75% of their hit points then just about the time they stand back up take the other 25% of their hit points. Oh and let us not forget about being able to stealth right in front of someone, even if there are DOT's on them, run away heal fully and come back to rinse and repeat the slaughter of other players. No they are not OP.....

Maybe it's you that needs to "spend some time on an alt" since you think they are so OP. You have the same opportunity to create the class just as anyone else. Be our guest. Furthermore, it sounds like you're the one upset about it.

Ahhh. Welcome to the world of PVP nerfs impacting PVE. Unfortunately this is as old as MMOs themselves. Sucks, but it still keeps happening.
