People keep yelling about judging the game on its own merits, and not based on the merits of the games that came before it, but unless you live in a bubble or could somehow erase your memories, that is just NOT REALISTIC. Maybe its not fair, but what comes after previous games/content NEEDS to innovate, and EXPAND upon what has come before. It is just not enough to EMMULATE. Sure, black and white TV's are awesome. Now give us color. Now give us 3D. Bigger, better, brighter not just diferent packaging.

The current MMO formula is proven, people like carrots. Gear carrots, skill carrots, level carrots. So as much as any game has those things, they will be at least minimally successful. But if you have been chasing carrots for 13, 7, 5 years, you DEMAND something more substantive from your gaming experience. Give your audience something new, not just left overs with some added seasoning.
Let me guess, WoW i awesome? lmao.

Your name makes me think you are a WoW fanboy

Interesting that this is exactly what was said about WoW in it's first few months. This game isn't yet a month old. I'd counsel patience, enjoy what there is and plan on more to come, again as happened with WoW. But if your mind is made up, peace to you. Maybe the next MMO will meet your expectations.

Same here. It's hard to put into words why I don't like the game. I do like the music....and...

I was looking at the graphics on the republic space station today. Keep in mind everything is maxed out on my graphics settings. I kept thinking there is no color. Everything is colored in a flat matte finish. I remember one of the sith npc's that is a lord or darth something. He had a metal mask that was indistinct and washed out.

Writing is piss poor. I hate the kill X number in a mob as bonus quests....boring. Brackets are coming, but pvp is still lame.

I'm basically in a holding pattern until Guild Wars 2 comes out. I might dabble in WoW for a month here and there, but no commitment to that game either.

When every moment in the game has you thinking, can I just reach another level so I can quit this game to do something else, then that means the game is really not your cup of tea.

God I feel your pain, but I was still playing WoW when I dropped 1400$ on mine.

It hurt but at that time I was enjoying the game. Spending 800$ on a computer for a game you do not enjoy is just a kick in the nuts

Hmm, part of the instant gratification generation I'm thinking.
