Glad you had fun, shame you won't stick around, but it happens with many MMO's but I wouldn't of brought the CE, now you will always have to think "Why Did I spend $150 on a game I only played for 30 days".

See ya buddy

I have come to terms with people being conditioned to instant gratification, it's very evident on these forums and I'm sure others as well. What I cant understand is why people feel the need to make a post telling other people, they don't even know in game or out, that they have cancelled their sub.

What don't you like, what's not enough? PvP, Daily quests, very interesting Reverse Engineering system and a lot of interesting locations to explore and play on. A major content patch coming out by the end of January (1.1) and the game haven't even been explored yet. There are many questions about crafting still, there are plans to overhaul PvP and a lot of bug fixing happening as we speak.

I'm not trying to force you to subscribe or to courageously defend SWTOR, but I don't see any valid argument in your post. Let's see what they plan to do with the game and how they are going to expand the content which wasn't fully explored yet and then really discuss whether or not the game has enough carrots
You're overlooking that everything they're adding still fits into his description of nothing new.

Oh snap they're adding a bracket for the highest level in pvp?
innovative. (more like should have been there to begin with if you're putting in level 50 gear that gives stats specifically for pvp..?)

Adding anti aliasing?
(You mean that thing invented in the 70s?)

Adding 3 more instances and some raid bosses?
As if the first 15 weren't boring enough. The bosses do nothing out of the ordinary, the trash is still trash, the lfg is still a spam fest. Nothing to see here.

Can sugar coat it with excuses, and jedi mind tricks all you want. The game is stil lacking majorly in overall appeal.

If it didn't say star wars on it, I'm not entirely certain it would make it in the long run.

Again, there is a lot to enjoy in the game, and I really wanted to enjoy it. Hell, you're right, I even pre ordered the CE in the summer of last year. And don't get me wrong, if I hadn't played the long list of games that I had PRIOR to playing this game, I would probably still be playing because I'd be doing things I haven't ever done before.

But after the first few cut scenes, how EASY was it for you to fall into the pacing of the gameplay. As if you had done all this before. You were still calling things what they were called in other games. Battlegrounds, dailies, instances, crafting, AH, mana/focus bar, talent trees, tokens. Knowing well in advance of getting to that point that the game would require you to repeat those same tasks countless times to reap rewards later down the road. Don't get me wrong, I think having a tank, healer, and DPS is an AWESOME gameplay mechanic. But haven't we done that before? Is that really the most fun or the most innovative?

I do like a lot of the content in the game right now. I DO NOT like how inflexible it is. Sure, the story is great, but maybe give me the option to make it optional on some characters. Rift did a great job of making large outdoor group quests easily accessible for all, and I feel like SWTOR added the chore of doing group quests without the EASE of finding people for them, and minus the rewards. PVP has devolved into another token and rep GRIND on small scale battlegrounds. I feel like the star wars theme was a great opportunity to really innovate into LARGE SCALE PVP. Players want this and BW missed the mark here.

ADDING or FIXING to the current game will give you more of what you already have had. What we need is something ORIGINAL and NEW.

Never really thought of it that way, pretty damn spot on tbh.

Also rifts, in rift were the bees knees when I discovered the game, definitely gave that wow appeal. (not WoW...)

The bracket was initially left out because it wasn't necessary. after all the first handful of 50's would have NEVER seen a queue pop if this was the case. Now that the community has leveled a bit a 50 bracket now makes sense.

The AA was a bug apparently, it's a bug fix and one that is needed.

criticizing fights that haven't been released yet? how is this even possible. current fights might be tank and spank but I don't expect Bioware to release anything too complicated in the first OP tier after all you need baddies to see content too.

Sorry OP, but honestly, I'm just baffled how someone could shell out that kind of money on the CE, but not have the patience to give the game time to implement its first few patches.

I bought the WoW CE, thought the game was a mess for the first 4 months, stuck it out, watched some massive revamps, and then enjoyed it for the next 4 years or so.
Ho! Ha ha! Guard! Turn! Parry! Dodge! Spin! Ha! Thrust!

They could have easily locked it down to 41-50, with skills they would have atleast had a chance, unlike level 10s. Acting like it was intelligent design just says something about yourself.

Yes it is typically a bug to completely remove a feature. Then add it later like its some kind of content update to keep people excited.

There is a fine line between complicated and exciting. sadly, these fights are neither.

It really is amazing how blind people will act towards the IP. I love SW, Kotor, and kotor2, but to act like this game is the future is just disturbing.
