Bioware staff - Clueless

I think you will find that the names you are calling bioware staff actually apply to yourself.

CSR was probably in a confused state because of the retarded question in the first place.

(1) Abils show "need db lightsaber"...

(2) You equiepped a weapon other than a db lightsaber, and said abils didn't work...(Check (1)).


..............if you want to use those abilities, then equip a db lightsaber........


Why does it require a CSR to confirm this, seems pretty obvious?

Time for a reality check, they are call centre people with set booklets infront of them. Even the developers cant remember every single item combination, its simply arhived in a data base.

And you expect someone who isnt even part of the team, and potentially doesnt play the game to know all those little details off the back of his hand.

and then to give you an anwser other than? "Its for companions, yes you can equip it, but its not ideal" .... which IS THE CASE.

Seriously, he was "avoiding your question" because:

A) Nothing he could do about it even if he wanted to.

B) Its such a miniscule DESIGN CHOICE issue.... your pet got a weapon, only HES NOT YOUR PET HES A COMPANION.... which makes up half your power when soloing.

You didn't really catch everything else that is involved did you ?

1- Is the abilitie correct ?
2- Is the Weapon stats correct ?
3- Is the drop correct ?

Your pet is half of your power soloing ? wow...
So you would be willing to run Hard Modes / Raids just to equip ur pet ?

And back to the original item, if he does not know it, just say so...
And not knowing which class can equip what weapon, I am sorry, that is BS...

What prolly happend is,
Assuming that "it is working as intended", the loot table is wrong, should not include a pet wep drop. At least not with a rate as high as a PC drop.
Once again, there is a mistake somewhere in the line....
Specially, because is not a every pet wep... only 4 pets in the game can use it...
So does it make any sense to add an epic wep, to a loot table, that only 4 pets can use ?
And actually only 3, since mine is a takining one and should not be using this wep.

i can understand why he would be annoyed though...

as a jugg for instance u can use vibroblades to do any of ur moves, mainly because they use identical animation anyway so it's not like it's much of an extra work for the dev.

this technically should hold the same for electrostaff.

aside of that, there's something seriously wrong when ur companions are getting more gears out of these drops than the players themselves are...

Pretty solid topic. Why do assassins have a weapon proficiency that they can never use with any skill tree? Why are there companion only weapons that drop from hard mode bosses? Why does their service rep have zero clue about any of this?

The engine works for Jugger... He can use light saber + vibro sword
That makes only sense to say that Assassin can use DL + electro staff...

And ya, my tank pet has a better dps wep than I do...

Why cant we have dungeon earned Companion weapons? I like the idea... will it annoy a lot of people? probably, will it change? with enough whining probably.

But then again upgrading your companions is meant to be apart of this game aswell, tunnel visioned Theme-park vets might not agree with this.

Dont get me wrong, its a valid point.... electro staff should be viable for us Shadows... but wether its working as intended or not is just something to debate. we are jedi, we are meant to use Lightsabres.... there is a penalty for not.
