creating a thread full of whining, crying, screaming, tantrums and general QQ.

I don't expect warm fuzzies, but I do expect not to get flamed or trolled just because something I feel is important, isn't important to that guy.

I created this thread because I thought to myself "Hey, I can't possibly be the ONLY person who finds this deficency in options annoying!"

That or just be able to mail stuff across factions like one of the other posters said. There needs to be a neutral AH here like there is in WoW - I believe that could solve some of these problems - even temporarily.

Not to mention giving some unique RP opportunities as well.

Perhaps a "black market" space station (run by Jawas or Ugnaughts or something), where members of both factions could come, have a neutral AH, as well as a neutral cantina, where you could communicate with the other side.

I'd be all for that!

Imagine the armor diversity that could be achieved through those means, for the "civillian" characters (Smugglers, Bounty Hunters, etc.)

I could use some non Trooper looking Heavy Armors for the companions.

I just thought of this, is the armor you get for your companions from quests, do they look like trooper armor?

Also, isn't Corso a trooper?

1. Yes, from Taris on, it seems all the Corso pieces are Trooper armor. They are visually identical to the pieces you get for Aric Jorgenson on the Trooper.

2. I don't think Corso is a trooper (in profession). When you first meet him, Corso is working for Skavek. In story down the road, he mentions being part of the Peace Corps or something like it in his past, but I haven't gotten much past that in story.

All the indications to me are that he is a mercenary, hired gun, smuggler jack-of-all-trades kinda guy, that wears heavy armor. But he is a civillian, not military.

I solved this problem to a minor extent with orange gear. While Empire doesn't have quite the same problem, Kaliyo's outfit was fugly for a long time. Now she wears a cape. My bounty hunter wears a trenchcoat. Vette has some really awesome looking red-and-black armor (and unfortunately, a matching respirator - hide companion head slot option, please).

But, but there is a neutral GTN, isn't there? The GTN stalls on Nar Shaddaa are called Hutt Exchange something, and I recently sold my republic side crafting schematics there.
Now I don't know if you can sell empire gear to republics, of if the gear just transforms into the republic version, but there is a neutral GTN.

Buy Orange armor that is not trooper armor, you know like smuggler armor perhaps, and equip it with mods for his stat requirements. Don't worry if it is light/medium/heavy default, that does not make much difference in damage mitigation anyway. Hey, dress him up in Twi'lek dancing gear from the security vendor if you want. It's orange and you can mod it to meet stat requirements.

Must Bioware do everything for you? Maybe make use the the features and components they gave you and be a little inventive or innovative.

Besides, they are going to release a ton of new stuff in future patches. To complain about it now is kind of silly IMO.

Clue: Nar Shadda GTN is neutral faction. You can post items from both factions and both factions can buy. You know.....just like the Cartel AHs in WoW.
