The lack of armor looks is really unsettling. With orange customizable gear, what is the point of even changing armor at all? Just buy the three upgrade slots (armoring, mod, and enhancement) and you've got all new stats with the same look. But not all of us want to look the same every time we play.

Take a hint from WoW and DC Universe. WoW now offers transmogrification and DC Universe offers something called "styles" which lets you change the way an item looks without actually changing the item itself. Players will get bored really quick if they can't flaunt their characters.

And regardless to what anyone says, everyone likes to flaunt it. So lets get some different armor types and looks in here asap please. Troopers should be the only ones looking like troopers, just as Jedis should be the only one looking like Jedis.
Go read the dev tracker and save your typing fingers some anguish. You're preaching about things that have already been discussed in great detail that they plan to tweak and change.

My favourite: bottom floor of the Organa palace. Dead-center, a group of five human NPCs: two identical women, three identical men. I like to imagine that their conversation consists of shouting "Say, you look familiar!" over - and over - and over -

You are dressing your companion, correct?

If you want your companion to look a certain way, don't dress them in the armor?

I totally agree. Troopers, because of their story, are the ONLY ones who should look like they do.
So what are you suggesting? That companions shouldn't be able to wear the same armor a trooper players? I would completely disagree. Being able to put player armor on companions is a feature I really like about them.

In order to do that...I need more options.

Hey, can you cross faction mail stuff to yourself? Perhaps raiding the Bounty Hunter armors over on Empire would be a good plan....

They seem to have some decent looking civi armors, right?

Seriously, if I could dress Corso in something other than Stormtrooper gear, I would.
Look, we got four or five of the main characters on this ship. I think we're gonna be okay.

No no no! Not at all!

What I'm asking Bioware to do, is expand the loot table of items containing the Aim/Endurance stats to include more Civillian looking Heavy Armor.

You dress your companion how you want to. And I'll dress mine how I like.

However, what I would do is limit any Trooper armor that bears the Havoc Squad insignia, to the Trooper class and their companions. That would be only fair.

Only Havoc members, should wear Havoc badges.

Inspired by the fantastic Dr. Cox in the tv series "Scrubs":
