Bioware staff - Clueless

So,
A couple of weeks ago we killed HK in false Emp Hard Mode.
I got the Electro Staff from it.

Since I am an assassin, and the only class in the game that can use it (assassin + Shadow), I took it.

When I equiped I found out I coulnd't use maul, or the charges anymore.
Those skills all require double-bladed lightsaber...

IMO that makes no sense, for 3 reasons.
1st - the marauder / jugger can use the vibro sword and use all their skills
2nd - i am the only class in the game that can equip it, so I assume I can use it.
3rd - it is an epic drop from a hard mode for a companion only ?

Well, I opened a ticket to ask about this, and meanwhile I gave it to my companion.
1 week later (yes, 1 week), a "droid" (staff) contacted me to discuss the issue.

He started the conversation saying: "Electro Staff is a companion only weapon, that is why you can't equip it"...

I was like, "***?" I can equip it...
So, even after I wrote a 10 lines ticket, I explained the issue again. His answer was:
"Oh, so you can equip it ? now I get it, let me look in my resources for an answer".
a few minutes later he tells me:

"Sith assassins are an advanced classe from Sith inquisitor that focus on martial expertise"

Ya... Thanks for teaching me how to play my class...

Once again I explained him what was going on...
He answered: "sith assassins requires double-bladed lightsaber in order to use their most damage skills"...

After that I got a lil bit pissed and asked to talk to a "Senior droid"...
I have been waiting for 3 days now...

Anyway...

The staff who answered me is COMPLETLY unprepared and has NO IDEA of what the game is and how it is played.
I am VERY disapointed at Bioware for that, and I AM STILL waiting for an answer regarding this subject...

in the meantime my companion will still use the electrostaff....

It is a companion weapon, you only have the ability to use an electro staff for lore purposes(Before your saber training you used an electro staff, vibro sword, etc.)

No need rolled on a Companion item? Shame on you.

Would you rather their customer service people stop answering tickets altogether and just play all day instead?

As for the weapon, I can tell you for 100% certainty that Marauders cannot use it. Most of our high level abilities specifically require two lightsabers.

At least you got to speak to someone!!! Major improvement on all the standard bollocks droid responses the rest of us get.

I think you're calling the wrong people clueless.

Tickets are not for game design issues. I hate when I hear about people entering tickets and demanding to talk to GMs.

They aren't going to do anything for you. They assist with game related bugs and database issues.

If you have a game design issue, this forum is the right place to post it.

I haven't made up my mind yet whether having a companion only weapon class as a raid drop is stupid. Leaning towards stupid.

The game definitely needs classes with more than one weapon proficiency though. Force classes should DEFINITELY be able to use the staves and swords to full effect though, if they so choose. You could in KoTOR.
