i would like this too, for some odd reason the ligthing in the character creator was too excesive, so the skin and eye color turned out to be what i didnt want it to be, however as dromund kaas ligthing is too really kinda "greenish", just like "korriban academy" when both convs take part, i didnt notice, then when started hitting the other planets i started noticing it.

Furthermore, an interview with James Ohlen, posted at Massively, stated:

I have to say, this assumption on character customization being something only the end-game players would want is dead wrong. Character appearance plays a major factor in how well I enjoy my characters, from level 1 to end-game.

So, with this and the quote above in mind, I hereby demand post-character customization in SWtOR.

Thank you for your time.
When the creative director is so far out of touch with his customers, what hope do you think you have?

In every MMO I've played, and I've played many over the years, every strata of the player base wants to tweak their characters' appearance.

Can you not just make a character that you like when you go to the character creation screen?

If it is a heavy paid thing with a monthly timer or something I can see it being ok in my books, but otherwise ***. Learn to live with mistakes and stop being such babies.
Exactly how much time is it that you spend extensively interacting with every single player character on your server? Have you discussed your control issues with your therapist? Just asking, because I'm concerned for your mental health.

Yeah, it's a character-based game, so the less control people have over their character the better.

I agree, this really should be a must.

Over a week ago during a Taral V run the front part of my char's full-beard suddenly was gone, so my toon is looking like an "80's motorbike-cop" now :-(

The ticket that I opened because of that error wasn't worked on for a whole week, and then just got closed without solving/changing anything and only giving a stupid answer with no context to the problem...

So at least I would be able to "fix" it myself if this would be possible.

Who the **** are you to dictate what other people do with their characters? It does not affect you in any possible way, angle or thought for someone to change their character apperance if they so wish it. Personally, I'm sick of looking at my Pureblood and believe it or not, it's stopping me from playing because I need for myself to like my character before I can actually play.

Other people might get bored of the appearance of their character half way through the game, or at the end or anywhere they feel like it.

If it hurts you so much then simply don't use the system, it's YOUR character and you do whatever the heck you want to do with him. But don't even give your opinion on MY character nor what I do with him.

People like you make me mad Jesus christ.

Games that cater to vanity do very well, those that don't are relegated to niche status.
I have to agree with this.

Look at some of the F2P games, they rake in BIG bucks from selling things as silly as specialized underwear (looking at you Vindictus). I prefer to stay away from "micro"-transactions, but character customization is clearly something that keeps people coming back and pulling out their wallets.

I don't see why developers don't understand the market value of it.

THIS TOO. You got some problems if you think you're actually right on this. (To the person you quoted, not you Orion)

Just hope they add it soon , but really i hope they add so much stuff soon that i better wait 6 months to see it all done...
The Lord said: "QQ enough and thou shall receive it."
The followers said: "I shall QQ my lord, i shall QQ."
And since then , not a single day passed without the QQs being heard.

Man, imo, you hit the nail on the head. Let me add to that, if I may: The character creation in this game is horrid. Zabraks, for example, should not have the same face choices as humans. And on some character creation features (I can't remember which right now), two selections are the same feature, option 15 and 20, for example, was the same art. In the end the species other than humans proper look like humans with makeup. I've seen more inspiring character creation in f2p MMOs. Let's not even get into the fact that all species have the same voice and casting animations granted they're the same class. I can see using the same voice actor, but a bit of special effects couldn't have been added to any given species' voice to add a bit of flair? Talk about cheap, or simply not caring.

I never paid much attention to creating my character in MMOs. But in this game, as you note, where you are constantly looking at your character the selections provided leave a lot to be desired. I was really put off by the Cyborg character creation in particular. It essentially amounts to a human with sunglasses, or a bluetooth headset. The Cyborgs don't look like someone who was destroyed in some accident or fight, rather like some yuppie who belongs in a Starbucks. If you know Cyborgs as they relate to lore, then look at their character creation all you can say is, "damn."
