Yeah, it tells me there's a ton of people who know this game is trash and there's a ton of people who are feeling the heat at BW as they watch subs hemorrhage like a gunshot wound trying to clean up the publicity.

I agree completely with you on giving us the sandbox treatment when our story lines are over, you made the most epic intro and I would love to keep playing my characters and developing them how I want. Of course there will be more and more xpacs and updates, but I do love my RP and would enjoy something away from questing, PvPing, or raiding, perhaps get away from that linear path we run through, this is an MMORPG, right? =3

(Not very coherent but I'm sure some folk will understand me. xD )

Why are you still here? Serious question.

So clearly you hate this game. Why stay?

OT: I think this game will do just fine. They already have plans to release new content, and update PvP by the end of the month.

This is how it goes. Los Angeles and New York are the prime entertainment spots, Chicago is the other. That is for this country. The actors are union. There are specific rules you have to follow.

Bioware cannot just own the rights to their voice or tell them "hey, we need you for this time period". Any voice over artist with a competent agent will gladly work the contract in favor of the actor. And that means they are working on other projects and sometimes those projects are booked loooooooong in advance.

No you have already established 16 actors for 16 main parts. So that means you need those same people again. That means you have to figure out when you need them and for how long and they might be doing other projects. It may mean a week's difference but that can totally slow down the production.

This is their livelihood. This is not a quick cash thing, they will take the job if it fits into their schedule and if they want to do the job. The thing about voice overs is that there are only so many of them. They do not have to be on camera, they work for many years. You have probably heard the same people on TV for 40 years. They are not going anywhere anytime soon. They are booked, and when I say booked I mean booked solid.

Bioware cannot monopolize a union worker, that is why they are in the union, so companies cannot hold them by the you-know-what. Heck, the actors themselves might be holding Bioware by the cajones. They could have it written in THEIR contract that only they get to be the voice of so and so. Some of those actors have a lot of power.

Quality voice overs take an immense amount of time, effort and money. It just isn't as simple as walking into a room, saying a few lines, then going to cash a check.

The production values of this game are the road block. If they can navigate that road they should be fine.
I know what you are saying, but for decades Don LaFontaine really did simply walk into a room, said a few lines, and then went to cash his check. He was that good. The caliber of actors voicing TOR is not that high.

Why do people write bad reviews for products? It's a normal thing to do when you pay money for something and it turns out to be worthless junk.

What? Did I miss something? Of COURSE it means something in the game.

It means content and story can't come out like greased lightning, because voice-acting is a long complicated process! Unless we go back to reading quest text...

Which is why there is already a new flashpoint coming in 1.1. I think they're going to do just fine

So far there are 8 separate stories in the game, for most people that is going to take a while to go through. The current content is going to last a while, BW has stated that they have content ready, as in written, for a long time to come and I'm fairly sure they've already started work on that in terms of VO etc.

I'm willing to sub to this game, I love the stories I've experienced so far. Besides $15/month (less the longer period you subscribe for) is really not that much, especially seeing as I've paid such sums for other mmos before on a monthly basis for years.

Why do you assume that MMO players want to play reroll after reroll? Quite a lot of MMO players live by the "Main". If BW is hoping that players are going to keep occupied by rerolling over and over they might have flawed business plan.
