it looks like the point of the thread is that strong enemies do more damage than elite enemies. i dont know how everyone else missed it.

I noticed this on Belvis.

Golds take longer to kill but I usually end the fight with a gold at better then 90% health. Most silvers on the other hand, they can kill me if I make a mistake, and I'm usually around 40% health after an encounter.

Belvis has a very unfinished feel to it. Unused areas of the map right next mini dungeons that are used over and over again for quests, lack luster node placements and this inconsistent mob difficulty.

Seems like they were in the middle of a global mob re-balance and development of the planet when word came down from on high to get this game out the door.

I ran across an area quest, I think it's on Voss (45ish), where at the final stage of the quest you go over to this cubby hole near a dirt wall, click on the item to summon a couple of strong NPCs, and one of them has that damned minigun thing from Terminator 2. I'm full tank geared with all upgrades and such, and he dropped me in 5 seconds while I was attending to the other strong NPC. I was finally able to down it by blowing all CD's the instant they spawned, and focusing the minigun mob(he has the quest item drop). I died after he died, without touching the 2nd strong mob. A bit crazy, I'd say.

Not to mention that the mobs spawn in an Evading way, and then teleport 20 yards behind you and start blowing you up.

I am experiencing the same on my Marauder. I am 46 and keep taking so much damage same for my tank companion.
I just switched to my lvl 26 Sage till I feel like doing the last levels of my Marauder.

I noticed it on Hoth. It went from the occasional one on Quesh, to every mob pull on Hoth having a silver included. Sometimes it was 2 and sometimes I didn't notice the second one hiding behind a box. Levelling, I shouldn't have to scrutinize every pull like I'm playing a FP.

I'm a level 42 Sith Sorc in level 40 epic gear. I try all different companions for different fights, but find that Khem is best with him tanking. It just takes too long per fight

Regardless of his gear and tactics, there is another point here. MMOs don't come with a difficulty setting. It's wiser to keep solo content easier and allow those players seeking more challenge to focus on PVP, Flashpoints and Ops.

I'm not saying that most of the current solo content in the game is too difficult for experienced mmo players but for those players who are new to mmorpgs or just want an easier experience leveling in general, they're kinda stuck struggling through.

Games should be as challenging as the the player wants them to be. There should be easier routes to follow for those who want them. That's all I'm saying

I never said the game was impossible, I'm just dissapointed that my playstyle is now nothing but "shield xalek, heal heal heal heal heal, shield heal heal heal, enemy is at 10%? looks like its time to go to work!"

I would be fine with that vs an elite or boss, but every other mob? Come On. Its not fun, its just a hassle. I specced dps to dps not spam heal my companion
