F.A.O BioWare - Character Appearance Change Incoming?

A subject that has been discussed allot in game is whether the folks at Bioware will soon be allowing us to make alteration to aspects of our characters. Should that be a FULL re-shuffle of the appearance via a possible paid service, or even the implementation of a ..... Dare I mention the game of Ill fortune ...... WoW like barber shop.

I cant say I have too many issues with this and there is only one alt that I would change up, but since it was the subject of conversation in general chat today, It has sparked my curiosity, and got me thinking if this is something intended for a future patch?

I think Appearance Changing should've been a launch feature, in a game where we spend so much time looking at ourself talk

This feature should have been in at launch. It's annoying to not be able to change stuff.

I agree, but none the less, judging from the hour long 'general chat' conversation today, it IS something that people are crying out for. I have to say that one character of mine which I intended as light side, turned out to be a bit of a bad ***, so wouldnt mind the option to switch his appearance up a bit.

Hopefully we may get a reply for an admin with an answer. In the mean time, I hope we can get a bit of general banter going on the subject.

Woop. You changed your orange. Why the change? Why?

But on-topic: I agree to see something to change appearances. However I think fixing other bugs and improving gameplay are higher priorities.

Completely support this. I'm tired of my Scoundrel wearing dumb looking trenchcoats.

There are several threads on this already, most have been closed and pointed to this thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=1314

Furthermore, an interview with James Ohlen, posted at Massively, stated:

Quote:
Last one: redesigning your character (maybe via a barber shop)?

That's not going to be soon or very soon; that will be later on. That's more of a feature for players who have been playing the game for a long time and have their level 50s. It's not high-prioity. If a lot of players start demanding it, then we will put it in.
I have to say, this assumption on character customization being something only the end-game players would want is dead wrong. Character appearance plays a major factor in how well I enjoy my characters, from level 1 to end-game.

So, with this and the quote above in mind, I hereby demand post-character customization in SWtOR.

Thank you for your time.

I think OP is meaning barbershop-like appearance changes, not armor. And yes scoundrels look like cowboys.

I support this, but I can't imagine it's very high on their priority list.
