... because I had the proton torpedo launcher installed. Was unable to destroy all 4 shield generators, as I rarely had the chance for the long lock-on timer of the torpedos. Spamming right mouse button for missiles, however, did... nothing? What kind of joke is this?

Yup, same thing happening to me. I was beating this with normal torps, get photons, it's been 3/4 blown up every time... frustrating

arent those oens supposed to be special muniton while the reular missles are still there? everything on my ship is Artifact quality and the extra 4 attachment slots have the commendation gear. Havent tried it with the new photon thing, ill give it a whirl.

I can use the photons to kill 3 generators easily but the 4th doesn't seem to allow regular shooting (buffed up as well with the converter) and/or regular torpedos do ANY damage to the last one. I need to unequip the photons to get regular damage working on generators again. No use buying photons in that case imho

They are proton torpedoes not photon torpedoes. If you want photons go play STO.

Just did this mission a couple hours ago.
