I never said anything about not being 'social'... I'm a very nice, very friendly, helpful person. I like socialising and like grouping. But to try to explain my point... if I go into a shop, I talk to the shop assistant, I'm sociable, I might even smile and say have a nice day... but I don't ask for her/his phone number and expect to get invited out for drinks.

Being social is nothing to do with the mechanics of getting a group together.

"LFG Wailing caverns" "Randomdude whispers: I'm in." 30mins later you were clearing the content.
As I stated earlier, I understand why people would want this.. but im with excedrin and others that believe these tools destroy the quality of the community. This has been my extensive experience. I believe you make better friends by just being social.

WoW didn't have a LFG tool. It took years for WoW to introduce it. As I stated before, I'm for the tool because this game doesn't work without it. WoW did.

Then I feel sorry for this pig headed attitude as it WILL kill this game- this instanced rpg NEEDS a lfg tool more then any other mmo has needed one- its tanking fast to the point thousands upon thousands are leaving just for the sake of a few stubborn fanboi's

plonkers
Huh?

Your experience has been different than mine then. I have done oodles of flashpoints and am almost finished with all of the quests on taris and coruscant has been completely finished. All this on a normally LIGHT population PVE server "Colonel Tobin". If they did implement this tool I would WANT them to wait a good long while first. Let some truly solid Guilds build up first.

beat me to it- i can agree to no lfg tool in a mmo - but THIS game desperately needs one to save it.
Huh?

The two aren't at all comparable. You guys are all playing the same game, not people with no thread connecting you but commerce. If I played chess with someone at the park and really had a good time, I don't think it would be weird to ask if they wanted to play some more chess when we both have some time. In fact, it'd be just great.

But yes, it does. You need to stop thinking about the people playing this game as disparate strangers and more like a bunch of players playing chess in the park. I might not share my entire life with them, but it would be weird if we didn't talk about chess, play it together, and plan to play some more later.
Alone is the default state of an MMO player, whether if be for minutes (or) months, and the game should embrace that. But making a massively single player game isn’t the answer.

If you're already in a guild what does it matter to you? Some of us want to play a PUG game, there are plenty of solid guilds you can join. Don't take the fun away from the rest of us just cause you have some stubborn views of how a game should be, especially since it doesn't take anything away from people who want to play in a guild.

I'm not in a guild. Although my guild from LOTRO is moving over here. (Still playing LOTRO, just gonna play this as well)

And I'm not "taking" anything from you. It's not even in the game and Bioware said it has no current plans for it to be. It never existed.
