I'm not asking to get instant ported to dungeons, I just want some better tool for finding the groups. Can't believe you people don't agree with me on this. Jeez.
I don't agree with you on this but understand why you and some others would want it. Frankly I don't want it in the game but if it is put in the game, as long as they don't allow Star Trekkish Instawarps to any dungeon like LOTRO, it won't bother me much.

Any one of the people I have gamed with in the past week would be glad to start up a flashpoint with me anytime. It's nice when you finish questing with people and they all want you on thier friends list and you get invitations to everything.
Well good for you, I have about 20 in my list but as another stated most are not on when I am or they out level/under level me and don't want to do a flashpoint. So you must have a very large friends list which means you don't really know the people in it and thus are not really 100% sure if they are legit or not after one quest. Thus a LFG tool is no different than this, it lists people available and puts them in a group. Not seeing the difference here... It's like people on facebook that have over 200 friends, your not really friends with 80% or more of them as that's impossible.

The FLG finder needs to do the following:

Let you specify what role(s) you can fill.
Let you filter search criteria or advertise yourself by flashpoint or quest (multiple simultaneously).
Be server wide.

The big point here is that it needs to have filters to search for people or groups by content.

I use it, and I have great success with it while running around on other planets. If you read my post, you would have seen that I showed you how to query LFG to incorporate ppl on all planets, not just in your zone. I now understand why you're having problem finding groups though. I don't think it's the lack of a LFG tool.

Many people have acquaintances that they are on friendly terms with and interact with every once in a while. Friends does not necessarily mean close friends.
Alone is the default state of an MMO player, whether if be for minutes (or) months, and the game should embrace that. But making a massively single player game isn’t the answer.

I've known that you can query LFG server wide for a long time now. There are a total of 16 people on my server flagged for LFG (including me), which is a sad sad pool to pick from.

There are not 2 on that list that are looking to do the same thing.

Bit of a contradictory statement, the random part is the GOOD part... that's how we actually meet people and get new friends... we don't all come into the game with a pre-selected list of nice people that will be available at the time we want to do a Flashpoint.

Also, I don't particularly want to have a friends list as long as my lightsaber, I just want to have a bunch of people who want to do a particular activity at the same time, have a nice pleasant run, and then go our seperate ways...

Not that I don't want a tool to make it easier, but you should join a large guild, or make friends to level with.
The guild I'm has 370something people, and we can post LFG in the guild chat and almost always get a group, it's a clever idea to join one.
