You'd not face this problem, if we'd actually have different abilities.

Right now I'd say at least half of my abilities are mere clones of other abilities on a different cooldown - just to make my rotation look more complex than it actually is.

Though this problem is DPS only. Healing as fas as I've seen has a big enough, yet suitable small toolkit and still allows for a good rotation.

Can you explain specifically why you are against a 3rd bottom center quickslot row?

Not against it, I just don't think it is necessary.
"Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope. Statement: This definition, I am told, is subject to interpretation. Obviously, love is a matter of odds. Not many meatbags could make such a shot, and fewer would derive love from it. Yet for me, love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticle, and together, achieving a singular purpose, against statistically long odds."

The UI needs to be scalable as well.. I don't like massive chunky icon buttons all over the place.

They take up far too much screen real-estate.

And whilst I am sure everyone wants the UI to be customisable right now I have urgent need to be able to move certain features so that during pvp I am alerted when an item comes off cool down. Right now we are stuck constantly looking at the quickslot bars and when you are in pvp the last thing you need to do is be taking your eyes off the action.

OK, maybe *you* don't think it's necessary... But a lot of people are not aware that some AC's have more skills than others or have longer or more complex rotations.

I have multiple skills outside of my main Sniper DPS rotation that have longer than 1.5 GCD. I don't want to scan the side of my screen to keep track.

I realize that coding changes in a game are always more complicated than they sound, but people have got to start to realize that not all forum noise is trolling.

When you are hearing from fans of the game like me that the UI has design flaws, and you keep hearing about poor UI design over and over again, then maybe, just maybe, despite the fact that you found a working solution, there is an improvement that can be made in the UI.

I personally feel from a game design standpoint, and yes, this is my own opinion, not fact, that any combat oriented skill should be able to be loaded bottom center and that side hotbars are for buffs, stances, heals, travel, social, etc. You should only have to scan one area of your UI to see combat status/issues.

Think of it this way... Would you want your Buff/Debuff status (which is too small, but that's another UI issue) to be located way off to the side?

I loved the action bar management used by City of Heroes. It provided 30 slots, all via number and ctrl or alt combo - no keybinding required (though you could still do that), and when you hit that alt or ctrl key, the single row of actions would expand, showing the 2nd row (or 3rd). This meant you were not requoired to take up your screen space with three bars - just one (but you could do 3 if you wanted).

I am OK with clicking on infrequently used non-combat abilities, but I need to have quick-key access to all combat abilities.

Yes - I hope the devs provide more UI goodness soon.

Everyone plays differently. Some are pure keybinders - good on em, but giving people the ability to adjust the game's GUI to each play style will go a long way to a better gaming experience.

not everyone, and i'd venture a guess, that under 1/2 use a lot of keybinds - i am personally a combo clicker/keybind player. I like having my frequently used skills in the center bar. it's easier to watch and see what skills are not on cooldown...casual skills can be off on the distant side bars of my 3 screens.

Having the ability to add several center bars like AOC, or give the option to adjust the GUI(resizable and movable) and rotate and move the 2 side bars wherever we want like in Rift won't hurt keybinders and minimalist style players... you can even remove things if the GUI is adjustable.

moveable and re-sizable windows in game are a must. Us older guys eyes aren't as sharp as in the past unfortunately. it's nice to be able to resize the main map, and leave it open on a side screen in some areas, place your mini map where you'd like, make it a bit smaller/larger, whatever...
Moving the party window for better visibility. being on the far left of 3 screens makes it a challenge to watch allies health and fight at the same time ..
(I know....poor me with 3 screens...But I am far from the only player, and the game supports it, mostly)

In the end, more user friendliness is all people are asking for from a Premium title. and frankly, for 150.00 / year on top of the price of a game, they deserve it...

I'm astonished such a basic UI even made it to release. Even by the notoriously awful state most MMOs release in, the UI for this game is simply unacceptable by MMO standards.

No LFD, no real endgame yet, bugs, okay, that's annoying but who's really surprised at those things?

A UI you can't re-size, customize, or even have enough hot bars to hold your abilities, because they don't even have macros either??

Unbelievable.
