This game launched well, but the problem is, its a crap game overall. WoW's launch was terrible but it was worth sticking around because it was a good game.

This is absolutely true. I am cringing for the smooth and perfect combat of WoW after playing SW:TOR. I renewed my WoW sub yesterday. =)

But you are being so dismissing, in the first sentence of your post.

Any investor who is willing to take forum responses and the customer service experience of one person (himself) as valid reasons to dictate the value of an MMO in the short/long term is a *********** muppet.

This is the kind of amateur **** that got people to invest in HD-DVDs.

The moment you said take the game offline for 2months I knew you are not a goldman sachs analyst, or you are and prove how terrible the firm is?! worst suggestion ever and is a guarantee to kill a product 100% of the time unlike keeping it online with less than 100% failure rate.

I do believe if they do not improve costumer support soon this game will fail. It is more important than any bugs currently ingame or lack/missing features.
Bioware quotes- "Twilight owns" "QUEL HORREUR" "JAMES JOYCE SUCKS" "DEAL WITH IT" "BUTTON AWESOME" "It was a bug" "expect increased fidelity" "Some people are just haters"

If he was that smart, he would have made his own mmo and gotten rich.

It really does sadden me that WoW has set such an unreasonable benchmark for an MMO to be considered "succesful" not even a month after it launches.

I played WoW for 6 years and loved that game... I still do genuinely believe that it is the most complete MMO out right now...

I'm just ready to move on.

...And I so badly want SWTOR to be my new MMO home... I, for one, will give Bioware a chance to make things right... they've been pumping out patches weekly so far, fixing things little by little...

They even said there's a combat mechanic change coming at the end of January.

I just hope the game can hang on with 1-2 million subscribers while it gets brought up to "WoW speed" so it can grow from there.

They have the BEST brand name for an MMO, in my opinion... I hope that fact alone is enough to buy them the time needed.

*shrug*
